36 - Her Way

"How's your presentation of the stratplan to the committee," Harold abrupt came in to Althea's office and asked.

"It was good. There were few adjustment in the resources but very minor. It will not affect the stratplan as a whole. It is ready to be presented to the board the day after tomorrow." Althea casually replied despite her being surprised when Harold suddenly pops up in her office.

"I know you'll get the approval, Sweet." Harold confidently uttered.

"It is the president who will get the approval since he'll be presenting it to the board." Althea said.

"But it is still our work." Harold uttered.

Althea got mum upon hearing how Harold claims the credit as one of the stratplan authors. She smiles at him thinking how he is very confident on the stratplan, where infact, he has nothing to do with the one she submitted to the committee. The draft she provided to Harold for his review still sits at her drawer for a long time already.

"Yes you are right, we work hard on it." Althea agreed.

"Althea, I have a suggestion on the stratplan draft before we present it to the board." Victor said and got surprised, too, seeing Harold in Althea's office.

"Good afternoon, Mr. President." Harold greeted.

"Good afternoon, Harold, I did not know you are here. Are you having a meeting?" Victor asked.

"This is just an informal conversation, Daddy." Althea said.

"Anyway, I just want to suggest that we include the detailed cost of the resources we need for the stratplan for the board of directors for their appreciation." Victor replied.

"I thought about it, too, Mr. President." Harold replied and it is too late for Althea to stop Harold. "If the startplan will include the detailed cost the needed resources they will have a better understanding in it." Harold said further.

"You saw the draft of the stratplan?" Victor asked.

"Althea asked my help on some points, Mr. President." Harold replied.

"Thank you for helping Althea on it, Harold." Victor uttered while his eyes are glued on Althea.

Althea felt that she will be in trouble. She did not mention to her Daddy Victor about seeking help from Harold on establishing the plan.

"I'm to be of help, Mr. President." Harold replied.

"Anyway, I think we need further discussion on my suggestion, Althea Marie. I'll for you in my office." Victor said and fastly leaves Althea's room.

"I'll go back to work now, Sweet. Don't let the president wait." Harold said.

As soon as Harold leaves, Althea took the stratplan that she gave to Harold then walks to the president's room in small steps. She knows she is in big trouble as she did not mention to her Daddy Victor about her plan on to catch Harold. She got even more agitated seeing how worried Alice is, "What happened, Althea. Mukhang galit ang Daddy mo?" Alice asked.

"I'll be in trouble, Tita Alice." Althea whispered.

"What did you do?" Alice asked.

"Harold mentioned to Dad that I asked his opinion on the stratplan that I drafted." Althea said.

"What? Why did you do that?" Alice worriedly asked when suddenly they heard Victor yelling.

"Wala pa ba si Althea, Alice? Tell her to come in my office right now." Victor exclaimed.

"I don't think I can help you, Althea. Apologizing is the only thing I know for the President to calmdown." Alice said and Althea nodded.

"Alice, call Althea right now." Victor again yelled.
