26 - Twist

Althea got surprised upon entering her office because a huge bouquet of flowers sits on her desk. "Tita Alice, ganito galing 'tong flowers?" she asked.

"Read the card so you would know." Alice replied.

She then took the card and read it when someone knocks at her door. "I hope you like the flowers." She heard Harold said. "May I come in?" he asked.

"Come in." Althea politely uttered. "Thank you for these flowers, they are beautiful." She added.

"I'm glad you like it." Harold said while he walks towards her. He gently grabs her arms and put it around him. "I miss so much, Sweet." Harold said while his arms envelopes Althea.

Althea closes her eyes and releases a huge sigh as she felt there is no turning back. The drama starts at this very instance. She gently removes Harold's hand around her and asked. "What are you doing here? You are supposed to start working the day after tomorrow."

"Today is the first day of my two days orientation. I am just waiting for Jane of HRD." Harold said.

"Two days? An orientation usually takes one day only." Althea replied.

"Jane will not be available this afternoon, so we move half of the session tomorrow morning." Harold replied. "How are you?" he then asked.

"I'm good." Althea replied. "Harold, are you free tonight? Would you like to have dinner with me?" She asked because the only thing that is on her mind is to seriously talk to Harold.

"This is the first time you invited me for dinner. But as much as I want to, I have to decline. I got a call from my Mom's friend. I will have dinner with them tonight." He added.

"Okay, I understand." She said.

"Hey, don't be upset, I am staying in Manila for good. We will have a lot of time to have dinner together." Harold said.

"You promise me that we will talk as soon as you arrived in Manila." Althea said.

"I'm sorry. I was so excited when I received her call so I immediately accepted her invitation. We will have that serious talk tomorrow night for whatever it is that you worry about. I will say it again, Sweet. My love for you will always be greater than you mistakes." Harold explained then he pulls her towards him for a very tight hug.

Althea pushes him away gently, "Where are you going after your orientation with HRD?" she asked to sway the topic as she is beginning to be uncomfortable with Harold actions.

"I am going back to my place and continue unpacking my stuffs." Harold replied. "How about you, what is your itinerary for today?" he asked.

"My Dad Daniel and I have a schedule branch visit today. I think we are set to visit three branches this afternoon." Althea replied.

"Can I come?" Harold asked.

"I though you will unpack." Althea asked.

"That can wait. I am excited to go on different branches here in Manila." Harold said.

"Be patient, Harold, you will have your time." Althea replied when her local phone rings.

"Hello, Tita Alice." She answered.

"Ms. Althea, HRD is now ready for Harold's orientation." Alice said from the other line.

"All right, Tita Alice, I will tell that to Harold." Althea said before she hangs up.

"I guess that is my cue." Harold said and Althea nodded.

"Tital Alice said that HRD is ready for your orientation." She uttered.
