49 - Gender Reveal

The Monteiro Mansion is again busy preparing for another family event. Laura and Allona lead the preparation of the gender reveal party. They connive with Althea's ob-gyne doctor not to disclose to Thirdy and Althea the gender of their first born because the grandmothers would like the gender revelation of their first grandchild to be very special.

"Hindi ka naman excited, Dear." Althea said, joking. "Bakit nakabihis ka na eh di ba sabi ni Mama Allie tatawagan nya tayo kapag pwede na tayong pumunta sa Alabang?" She further commented.

"At least once she calls, we are ready to go. I suggest you get your self ready, too." Thirdy replied.

"Fine, magbibihis na rin ako maya-maya," Althea said.

"Would you like me to help you?" Thirdy maliciously asked.

"Well, not a bad idea, my dear. Kaya lang baka tumawag na sila Mama Allie, you know how much I hate rushing things," Althea naughtily replied and Thirdy laughs out loud as he knows his wife understands what he means. "But seriously, Dear, I am very excited to know the baby's gender. I want my succeeding art works to be about my child." She added

"I know, at konti na lang pwede mo nang matupad ang dream mo to have a one-woman-exhibit. I am so proud of you, mi amore," Thirdy said.

"And that is because of you and your love for me. Kasama na rin yung pagmamahal ng buong pamilya natin. All of you are my inspiration and I am forever grateful because you all did not give up on me." Althea uttered then she gently touches her tummy. "Baby, we promise to do the same to you. Nanay and Tatay will never give up on you. We promise to support you in all your dreams," she told her baby in her tummy.

"I agree with Nanay, my princess. Even if you break house rules like her, Tatay will still support you." Thirdy uttered.

"Ay anak, don't be like me. It is not good to break house rules," Althea abruptly uttered.

"Hmmm ... natakot kang makarma?" Thirdy asked chuckling

"Ang hard mo sa akin. Hala, labas na at magbibihis na ako." Althea said while pushing Thirdy out of the room.

"I thought you want me to help you," Thirdy uttered.

"I change my mind. Get out and wait for me in the living roon." Althea said and closed the door when Thirdy went out of the room. "I am serious about that breaking the house rules, Baby." She told her child.

An hour later, Thirdy and Althea immediately travel going to Alabang as soon as they received a message from Allona. Excitement is very evident in them because they have been waiting for this gender reveal for three days already.

"Nasa mansion na daw sila lahat sabi ni Mommy Dei, pati sila Ate Charmaine," Althea said while replying on Dei's text message to her.

"Kanina pa nasa mansion si Mommy at Daddy, ipinahatid daw sila ni Ate Charm kasi gusto ni Mommy Laura na dun sila mag-lunch," Thirdy said.

"Bakit feeling ko mahihirapan akong hiramin ang anak ko sa mga lolo at lola nya?" Althea seriously uttered.

"Dapat expected mo na yan, mi amore. First apo ang baby natin sa side mo and bunso sa side ko, ang layo pa ng pagitan ng age kay Rafa." Thirdy said.

"Pero syempre, gusto ko pa rin namang alagaan ang anak ko," Althea lamented.

"Of course, maaalagaan natin ang baby natin, hindi nga lang natin alam at what extent the spoiling of the grandparents would be." Thirdy said.

"And I think the spoiling will start tomorrow. I am set to buy baby stuff with the three grandmothers. Buti na lang wala dito si Mamita, if not, siguradong kasama yun sa pagshopping." Althea commented.
