Years After - Continues (Completed)

4 - First Morning at Home

Althea wakes up early the next day with a different enviroment as how she wakes up in the morning in Santa Margherita, Italy.  But she smile as she recalls waking up to the same room almost seven years ago.  

As she looks around, she sees Almira and Lauren soundly asleep at the matress on the floor while she hears snores from her sisters Carrie and Rorie, sleeping on the bed with her.  As she watches the girls still asleep she could not believe how they have grown so fast.  They are no longer the kids she used to take care when Mommy Laura or Mama Allie were gone for some stuffs.  

She prefers to go back to Manila during school vacation time as she wants to spend more time with her siblings before she assumes office in MGOC.  She misses this kind of sleepovers with her siblings.

She took her phone to check on her messages.  Krissy sends her a text mesage telling her that she'll drop by anytime of the day.  She misses her friends so much, she is glad to see Krissy later and if possible have a video chat with Shane and Lexi who are both in Singapore for work.

There is no unread message from her boyfriend. The last one she received was when she send Harold a viber about her delayed flight and arrival in Manila and the latter simply told him to about the denial of his request at work to transfer from Italy to Manila.

"It's only passing one in the morning.  Harold is already sleeping by this time." Althea told herself.

One viber message caught her attention and she smiles while she reads Thirdy's morning greetings and the usual lenghty message to her. "Good morning, Thea.  Now off to Royalties for Ate's turn-over before they leave late this evening for their five days vacation to Japan.  Also, I have a game tonight at 7 p.m., let me know if you want to watch which I doubt.  Anyway, at least I tried to invite you to watch my game." 

Even in the first few days after the broke-up, she still receives lenghty viber messages from Thirdy.  He never stops doing that gesture despite being seenzoned for weeks and even when she told him about her getting into a relationship with Harold.

Grinning widely, she replied to Thirdy's viber message. "Good morning, Thirdy.  Thank you for the invitation, but I doubt if I can make it.  Krissy will be visiting me anytime today.  Maybe next time."

In less than five minutes, Althea got a reply from Thirdy. "I knew it.  But I think that next time will not be very soon.  I have to skip a few games as I need to fly to Cebu after Ate's family vacation." 

"Did something happened to Tito Richard?" Althea asked in reply.

Instead of receiving a reply message, Althea's phone vibrates and she sees Thirdy's flashes on the screen. "My dad is fine.  I just have to assist Mom for a huge convention at Royalties Cebu.  We are expecting 300 hundred delegates and I don't want to stress my Mom therefore I volunteered to help her." Thirdy said after their exchanges of Hellos.

"I see.  How long will you be staying in Cebu?" Althea briefly replied.

"Seven days, the least the convention will last for five days." Thirdy uttered.

"That's nice, you can bring my pasalubong to Tita Dei." Althea said.

"I will do that.  I'll drop by to your house before I fly going to Cebu." Thirdy said.  "Anyway, have a nice day and enjoy your time with your family and with Krissy, too.  I'll just talk to you later if you are not busy." Thirdy said. 

She immediately replied, "Have fun at work today." 

"Thanks, Thea. I have to hang up now, susunduin ko pa si Reb eh." Thirdy uttered and Althea felt a small pinch on her chest when Thirdy mentioned Rebecca's name.  She is thankful they are speaking on the phone because if not she does not know how will she react on Thirdy's simple mentioned of Reb's name.
