35 - Hunch

Althea enjoys the freshy brewed coffee and absorbs the calmness of the surrounding while sitting at the house balcony. This kind of relaxing time is what she has been wanting for the longest time. It would have been more enjoyable if she was able to bring her art tools to make a simple art work.

The Reyes private resort is much calmer than their vacation house in San Juan, Batangas. Both are beachfront but theirs have changed a lot since her Dad Daniel allowed some of his friends to rent the place so it was not able to preserve the serenity of the surroundings.

She smiles when she felt a kiss on top of her head. It is already three in the afternoon when they finally had their lunch. Now they are just waiting for the sun down so they could at least hit the beach before they travels back to Manila.

"What are you doing here, Mi Amore? I thought gusto mong mag-swimming." Thirdy asked then he sits beside her.

"Maybe after this cup, Dear, I am still enjoying the view, namiss ko na kasi ang ganitong view sa Batangas eh. Since pina-rent ni Dad yung vacation house namin dun, parang naging commercialized na. Hindi na nga kami madalas makapunta dun kasi laging occupied." Althea said.

"Mabuti na lang si Ate, kahit na anong pakiusap ng mga friends nya hindi sya pumapayag na iparent itong place." Thirdy said.

"That's why this place maintains its peacefulness. Ang sarap gumawa ng art works dito, kasi sobrang relaxing, and ang daming pwedeng gawing inspiration." Althea said. "Babalik tayo dito ha," She uttered.

"Definitely we will. Bitin ang day tour lang, gusto ko kapag bumalik tayo dito, we will stay at least for two days." Thirdy declared and Althea smiles at him. "As soon as your issue about Harold ends, and we can finally tell your parents our status, babalik tayo agad dito at hindi tayo babalik ng Manila hangga't wala kang natatapos na kahit isang painting." Thirdy said.

"Tatandaan ko yan, kapag yan hindi mo tinupad, lagot ka sa akin." Althea said, smiling. "I honestly wish my issue with Harold will end really soon. I could not longer stand seeing him roaming around MGOC or visiting MWAS branches." She added.

"Up to what extent na ba ang investigation? I mean matagal pa ba before you can get hard evidences of his illegal dealings?" Thirdy asked.

"According to Dad, around 75% na daw kasi may nakita pa silang loopholes dun sa evidences eh. Yung laptop ni Harold ang pwedeng tumapos ng issue na 'to. My Daddy believes that all his dealings are stored in that laptop. But we do not know how to get it from him that he will not have a bit of a hunch that we are after on what is stored in his laptop." Althea said.

"Your IT Team should figure it out. Maraming ways to do that." Thirdy said.

"Really? Oo nga pala IT is your expertise. 'Will you help us on this, Dear?" Althea asked.

"Wala namang problema but I don't want to intervene on your IT Team's plan. They know MGOC's IT structure than I do." Thirdy said.

"Sige I will talk to Dad about it. And I will ask permission to allow you to help us." Althea said.

"Let's see first what your IT experts can do. I will just be here in case you guys would need my help." Thirdy said.

"Why wait for the IT team if we already know what to do?" Althea uttered.

"What do you mean?" Thirdy asked.

"Sabi mo kanina there are many ways to know what is stored in Harold's laptop without him knowing. I want to know those ways." Althea said.

"Let your IT team do their job, it is too risky if you will work alone." Thirdy objected.

"I will not work on this alone, kasi tutulungan mo ako." Althea said.
