41 - End of Drama

Althea could not control her tears after her talk with Harold. The latter insisted to talk to her before the police detained him. As much as possible Althea does not want to see him leaving MGOC with handcuffs as it will only remind her how poor her judgement was regarding Harold.

"I just want to apologize for what I did. I was wrong to betray you but whether you believe or not, I love you so much, Althea. And I did it because I would like to give you a comfortable life when we decide to settledown. I want to be deserving of you. Please tell your parents I sincerely apologized for what I have done and I will accept whatever the verdict would be. Please be happy, Althea Marie and take time to follow your dreams. I'm really very sorry," Althea recalls Harold told her.

She loved Harold, though it is not as much as how she loves Thirdy, but she still loved him to the best she can. He has been her shoulder to cry on especially in those times she felt that Thirdy is cheating on her. Harold may have something to do with that malicious information about Thirdy but at the end of the day, she still used to believe in rumours than believe in what Thirdy has to say. Her break-up with Thirdy was her fault and nobody else.

She sees potentials in Harold, and she honestly wants him to succeed in his career. Before they got close she used to hear good things about him and hardworking is on top of the list of good adjectives about him. She's just sad that they ended up this way, they could have stayed as good friends.

She wipes her tears when her phone vibrates for a call from Thirdy. She releases a sigh before she takes the call as she does not want Thirdy to notice her depression.

"Hello, Dude, san ka na?" she asked and trying that Thirdy qould not to notice her frustrations.

"Are you crying?" Thirdy asked.

"I am not," Althea said, denying.

"I'll be in you office in five minutes, I'll just wait for you at the lobby. Are you ready to go?" Thirdy said.

"Bababa na ako, nakaligpit naman na ako. Hinihintay ko lang ang tawag mo." Althea replied. "I'll see you later, Dude." She added before they hang-up.

Althea quickly takes the lift going to the lobby. Since the issue with Harold is over, Thirdy is finally free to visit or pick-up Althea at work. Earlier this morning, Victor told her that the termination letter and the warrant of arrest will be served to Harold that day. She immediately called Thirdy to tell him the update and requested him to pick her up and have dinner together.

She did not wait long. Thirdy arrived a few minutes after she left her office.

"Nagdeny ka pa talaga, Mi Amore," Thirdy commented while he assisted Althea in her seat, as soon as they settle at their reserved seat in the restaurant. "Mugtong-mugto ang mga mata mo eh," he further commented then gives her a peck on top of her head before he sits in front of her.

"Hindi naman kasi ganong kadaling tanggapin yung betrayal." Althea uttered.

"I know that, so is it over?" he briefly asked and Althea understands what he meant.

"Yes, HRD served the termination letter to Harold at the same time the police officers served the warrant of arrest. Thank you for your help, Dude. Sabi ni Daddy wag ko raw kalimutan na magpasalamat sa iyo. Ang laki ng itinulong mo sa case na ito," Althea said.

"I'm glad I was able to help you in this case but Vino plays a big part of it, too." Thirdy said.

"Like you, he is very happy we involved him in the case. And as a reward, pinayagan na sya ni Daddy na mag-continue ng training sya sa IT Department. He is very happy, I've never seen him that happy," Althea said.
