34 - Please and Quiet

"Finally nakarating na rin tayo," Althea uttered as soon as she and Thirdy arrived in the private resort in Quezon. They arrived passing ten in the morning after braving the heavy traffic in Laguna and passed by the market to buy their food.

"I'll take care of our stuffs, pasok ka na para makapagpahinga ka kahit sandali lang before we have lunch." Thirdy said.

"Nope, tulungan na kita." Althea said then she quickly grabs their bags from the back seat. "Ikaw na lang magdala nung mga fruits and meats." She said before she gets out of the car without waiting for Thirdy to open the car door for her.

Althea walks towards the entrance of the house when she heard Thirdy speaks. "I will ask you for the last time, Thea. Are you sure ikaw ang magluluto ng sinigang?"

"Don't you trust me, Dear? My Mom taught me how to cook your favorite food. Wag ka nga lang umasa na kasing sarap nung sinigang ni Tita Dei. Alam ko naman na nothing can beat her sinigang for you," Althea said.

"Fine, if you insist. Nandyan naman kasi sila Ate Dang, pwedeng sila na ang magluto para sa atin." Thirdy said.

"Ako na lang, Dear. Wala naman tayong gagawin since hindi pa naman tayo pwedeng magswimming ngayon kasi tanghali na." Althea said.

"We can have some please and quiet while they prepare our food." Thirdy whispered.

"Tse, tanghaling tapat kaharutan yang nasa isip mo." Althea said. "Hala, dalin mo na yung mga pinamili natin sa kusina para makapagluto na ako. At ikaw naman, magpahinga ka na muna. I know, napagod ka sa byahe." She confidently instructed Thirdy.

"Panoorin na lang kitang magluto. It would be nice if I see a glimpse of our future." Thirdy said and he saw how Althea blushes.

"Magpalit lang ako ng damit, para komportable akong makakilos while I cook our lunch." Althea said and deliberately ignored Thirdy's statement. "Please wash the meat while I change, then put it in a pot with some water in it. Tapos isalang mo na para lumambot na yung meat. Kahit yun man lang matulungan mo ako." She added and hurriedly walks to the guest room to change.

Thirdy shook his head while he watches Althea leaves him. In his mind, he is serious about seeing a little preview of how he and Althea will be in the future.

He does not see himself with someone else but Althea in the future. He honestly wishes that Althea's drama with Harold will end soon as he wishes to put on Althea's finger the ring he already bought before they broke-up.

He is aware that Althea still has dreams to fulfill and he will make sure that the ring will not hinder her from chasing those dreams, instead it will serve as a sweet inspiration.

After a while, Althea went to the kitchen to start preparing their lunch. She smiles upon seeing the meat cooking at the stove and the vegetable are arranged accordingly on the table. But Thirdy is nowhere in the kitchen. She just thought that perhaps he too changes to more comfortable clothes. She already started cooking when suddenly Thirdy came in from the backdoor.

"San ka galing? I thought nag freshen up ka." She said while she continues cutting the vegetables.

"Kinausap ko lang sila Ate Dang, sabi ko pwede na silang umuwi at bukas na lang bumalik. Kaya na natin ang sarili natin tutal nakabili naman tayo sa market ng mga kailangan natin." Thirdy said.

"Bakit mo sila pinaalis? What if may kailangan pa tayo, wala tayong mauutusan." Althea commented.

"I can call them anytime, malapit lang naman ang bahay nila dito." Thirdy said. "How can I help you?" he asked.

"Marunong ka bang magsaing?" Althea asked.

"Hindi eh." Thirdy quickly replied.

"Hala paano ang kanin natin? I also do not know how to cook rice." Althea said.
