The day has finally come. My wedding day. Damian and I had graduated from school about a month ago and since then we've been finishing the planning of the wedding, we've been looking for a home of our own. We don't want to live at the Manor for the rest of our lives.
I slowly wake up from my slumber to find the bed empty beside me. I throw my legs over my side of the bed onto the cold floor pulling my robe on before walking down to the kitchen.
When I get there I see everyone sitting around the dinning table. I walk over to my seat beside Damian and kiss his cheek before sitting down. "Good morning everyone." I say receiving murmurs in response. I turn towards my fiance before asking him. "How long have you been awake? Why didn't you wake me up?" He turns so he's facing me and replies "I've only been awake for about half an hour beloved. I did not wake you up because you looked so peaceful sleeping so I figured I would let you wake up on your own." I nod my head and kiss his cheek as Alfred brings out a plate of food placing it infront of me. I smile up at him thanking him before he walks away.
Once everyone is finished eating the guys leave so they can go to the hall and get ready while us women stay at the manor and get ready. Babs and Steph get ready first while I go for a shower. When I'm finished I step out and put on my fuzzy robe before walking out of my bathroom and into my room to see them both finished their hair and makeup yet still in their regular clothes. "Alright Kay. It's your turn. Now come sit and we can get started." Steph instructs and I do as she asks and sit down on the ottoman.
Once the girls are done my hair and makeup we all go into seperate rooms to change into our dresses.
I step into my room and see someone standing facing the window. "Slowly turn and face me or I will shoot." I state as I raise my hand pulling my gun off my dresser using my abilities. The man does as I say and when I see who it is I raise my gun. "Hello Mykayla. It has been a while hasn't it." He says.
"Father. Why are you here?!" "Am I not allowed to see my daughter on her wedding day?" He asks and I scoff "Answer my fucking question. Why. Are. You. Here?!" He sighs. "I did come to see you because it is your wedding day Mykayla. But I also came to tell you to be careful on your honeymoon. Talia Al Ghul is looking for you and will stop at nothing until she finds you and kills you." I shake my head. "You think I don't already know that? She came to me a few months back. But she can't do anything to me. If she does she'll be hurting Damian as well." He chuckles.
"You don't know do you?" He asks as I lower my gun and look at him confused. "Know what?" "It's said that once you and Damian go through with this wedding, that bond that ties your bodies together will be severed. Once it's severed, if she so chooses she can harm you or kill you and it won't harm Damian in any way." My father explains. "I should go. You have to get ready." He says before jumping out the window.
For a minute I sit on my bed and process what my father has told me before getting up and going to my closet. I unzip the bag with my dress in it. I unbutton the back before pulling my dress off its hanger. I slip it on and do it back up as far as I can. "Steph!" I call out and she comes rushing in. "Can you help do up the back. Please." She laughs turning me around so my back is facing her and does up the last few buttons.
"Kay you look gorgeous." She says. "You're one to talk Steph." I reply. "You both do." I say just as Babs walks in.
When we get to the hall we all walk in. Bruce and Alfred walk away to go and find the boys and we go to our dressing room to do some finishing touches before the ceremony.
