Ch 11

Caitlin pov
"So are you coming back?"Barry asked as we pulled away from each other.
"I need to take care of some things with Martha. I have a friend who is willing to help Martha. In the meanwhile she is taking with me so I can keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't try anything" I sighed in stress.
"Hey it's okay. She will be alright Cait" he said rubbing my back comforting. I flinched at his touch.
"Are you okay?" Barry asked pulling his hand away in alarm.
"Oh-uh Yeah yeah I'm fine I just slipped in the shower this morning and my back is sore" I lied.
"Caitlin" he scolded in a fatherly tone.
"I know I'm clumsy I'm sorry" I laughed.
"You're gonna kill yourself one day for being so clumsy" he rolled his eyes grinning at me.
"Look who's talking King of Clumsy town" I fired back.
"Well we're are quite the pair Dr.Snow" he laughed.
"I am not agreeing with that. I am not clumsy. Slipping in the shower is pretty normal" I argued.
"Whatever you say Cait" he rolled his eyes playfully.
"Oh umm Dawn visited me today and she kinda fell in love with my house and she wants to move in. She was gonna talk to you about it herself but I just wanted to let you know I'm okay with her staying with me" I told him
"Wow. Well I don't blame her your house is awesome. Thank you for being so cool with this. You've been really sweet to her and it looks like she's really fond of you" Barry said.
"Of course. Dawn is really sweet she makes it easy" I complimented.
"She got it from her dad" he bragged.
"You wish Allen" I replied giving him a small smirk.
"Mo–Caiiiiitlin" Dawn stuttered her words when she saw her dad.
"Dawn hi" Barry said giving her a hug.
"Dad I didn't know you were here" Dawn said looking at me.
"I came to talk to Caitlin" He giving me a soft smile.
"Me too. I wanted to make sure you were okay. You were gone for a long time I got worried" She said looking at me.
"Uh yeah I'm actually not feeling too good, I think it was this morning's breakfast" I replied.
"Okay so I'm not crazy. I was feeling a little bit off too, but you because a speedster—" she ranted.
"You're metabolism is too fast to actually get food poisoning" I finished for her.
"Exactly" she beamed.
"Cait was telling me you wanted to stay at her place?" Barry asked Dawn.
"Oh well yes if that's okay with you. I mean, have you seen her house?" She praises and I blushed.
"I have and it's beautiful" Barry complimented giving me a soft smile.
"Would mom be okay with this?" Dawn asked looking at me for a brief second and I smiled in understanding.
"Yeah I think Iris would be cool with it. We really don't have a lot of space at our place anyways" He shrugged.
"THANK YOU" she exclaimed excitedly pulling both Barry and I for a hug.
Barry's face was inches away from mine and I couldn't help but feel butterflies.
I can't believe this is my family...
"You're welcome" we both said in unison.
"Guys!" Nora's sharp voice made us break from the group hug.
"Dad. Mom is wondering where you are" Nora said glaring Dawn.
"Oh yeah I was talking to Cait and your sister. Let's go" Barry walking towards Nora.
"I'll let your mom now once we finish lunch" Barry said to Dawn.
"Thanks Dad" Dawn smiled.
"Tell her what?" Nora asked eyeing me and Dawn.
"Dawn is staying at Cait's house until you guys can get back home" Barry said.
She nodded her head and then they both walked off.
"Nora is being a huge pain in the ass" Dawn said angrily as soon as they left.
"I don't know what to tell you" I said agreeing with her.
"I wish I could just freeze her ass against a wall" Dawn said rolling her eyes.
"Freeze? Wait you-you have cold powers?" I asked stunned.
"Yes..." she said as if it were obvious.
"I didn't think that was possible" I said utterly shocked.
"Trust me it's possible." She said showing me her cold powers. Her eyes immediately changing colors to a bright white
A mini me!
"That is so cute" I smiled at her pulling her in for a hug
"Mom" Dawn whined trying to pull away.
"Let me enjoy this moment. My daughter has my powers" I said jumping up and down excitedly.
"You should see me kick some ass while using my speed" She grinned.
"That's pretty bad-ass" Frost commented.
"Thanks Frosty" she beamed.
"I can't wait to tell Cisco!" I said proudly.

"Heck yeah! So you're a baby FrostFlash combo! Sounds freaking awesome!" Cisco said giving her a fist bump.
"Oh my gosh the suit that I could make you! So many ideas that my brain hurts" Cisco said as we walked towards our car.
We were about to drive off when I heard a distant voice yell from the parking lot.
"Is someone calling my name?" Dawn asked equally as puzzled as me.
"It's Iris" Cisco determined looking out his window.
"Wait! Stop!" Iris said out of breath once she neared my car
"Iris?" I questioned.
"Sorry Caitlin! I need to take to my daughter for a quick second" she said out of breath.
I looked behind me to see Dawn face palm herself.
"I'll be back" she whispered opening her passenger door and walking out.
Cisco and I have a each other a 'what the heck' look before turning on the radio.
After about 5 minutes she came back with a slight frown.
"What happened?" I whispered as Iris approached my driver's seat.
"Caitlin can I talk to you for a second?" Iris asked looking at me.
"Uh-yeah yeah sure" I said getting out the car.
"Can I be in the driver's seat?" Cisco asked excitedly.
"Just until I come back" I pointed at him.
"Yes! Thank you!" He said getting out of the passenger seat and walking around giving me a quick hug
"You're the best!" He said getting in the driver's seat.
"No driving!" I scold.
I walked away with Iris. I could see Joe, Cecile, Barry and Nora from a distance talking amongst themselves waiting for Iris to return.
"What's going on?" I asked turning my attention back to her.
"I understand you're just trying to be nice to Dawn and I really appreciate you for that. I don't mean to sound like an ungrateful bitch. It's really sweet of you to let Dawn stay with you. But she's my daughter and I want to be able to bond with her before they go back to the future." She said looking at me intensely.
"Dawn seems to be very fond of you. I can see she loves you very much, she's not even that close to Barry, and he is her father. I am happy to see that you two get along but she is my daughter Caitlin and I want to be close to her too" Iris finished with a hint of jealousy.
"What are you trying to say Iris?" I asked confused at what she wanted me to do with the information she shared.
"I want you to keep your distance" she concluded.
"You want me to push Dawn away?" I rephrased her statement.
"I want Dawn to be close to her mother" She said.
"I'm not just going to push her away because you can't seem to connect with her" I argued.
"She's MY daughter Caitlin! I just want you to give MY family some space so we can enjoy our time together" Iris argued back equally as harsh.
"I have done nothing to disrupt your family quality time Iris!" I said through gritted teeth.
"Dawn has been attached to you like a magnet since she arrived!" Iris said bitterly.
"It's not my fault that future us are so close" I argued swinging my arms around.
"Why are we even arguing about this? She's my daughter and I decide what's best for her!" She said possessively.
"Hey hey hey!" Barry rushed towards us with his speed when our argument begin to a little too loud for the public.
"What's going on?" He asked as he stood next to Iris and in between us.
"If you want your daughter to stay away from me tell her yourself." I said bitterly glaring at her.
"Don't bother showing up at S.T.A.R labs at all" she said angrily.
"S.T.A.R labs is not yours Iris!" I said coldly.
"You're right it's not! It's my husband's" she said grabbing Barry's arm.
"You guys stop!" Barry said looking back and forth between Iris and I.
"Unlike you Iris, I am not dependent on S.T.A.R labs. If you've forgotten let me remind you I have 2 doctorates and a PhD to get a job anywhere  instead of lamely relying on a promotion at a printing press" I said bitterly before walking away from them.
I could feel my blood boiling.
"I wish we could just blast her across the continent" Frost said angrily
"Don't tempt me Frost" I replied.
"Cisco drive" I said as I got inside my car.
"Really? What happened?" He asked looking as Iris and Barry argued in the parking lot.
"I don't even want to bother explaining" I whispered.
"I'm still moving in with you" Dawn said.
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"As long as it's okay with you" she replied.
"Of course my home is yours too" I smiled.
"Great because I sorta already moved my stuff to your place while I picking up Martha's belongings earlier today" she said innocently.
"Why am I not surprised" I laughed.
