Ch 31

Caitlin pov
"So what's up between you and Barry?" Liam asked as we kept quietly eating breakfast.
"What do you mean?" I asked curiously.
"Caitlin" Liam spoke softly looking at me.
"Yes?" I asked cluelessly.
"Are you and Barry like a thing?"He asked in all seriousness.
"Like a couple?" I asked puzzled.
"Yes Caitlin are you and Barry together?" He asked looking at me seriously.
"Liam" I laughed out loud looking at him in amusement while he just stared in bewilderment.
"What's so funny?" Liam asked.
"That you think Barry and I are together. Why would you think that" I said through laughs trying to catch my breath.
"You guys seem close...really close" he concluded looking at me expectingly.
"We are close. We're best friends but we're not together. He's married and expecting a child" I reasoned smiling at Liam's ridiculous question and laughing some more.
"Oh" Liam replies looking down embarrassingly.
"Is there any other humorous assumption you'd like to make about me?" I asked jokingly.
"No no I'm done with my interrogation today" he smiled blushing.
"Good. Well I need to get to work and I'm sure you do as well" I smiled cleaning everything up and putting the leftover breakfast away.
"I actually don't need to work so I could drop you off" he smiled sweetly at me.
"I forgot you're a billionaire sometimes" I laughed shaking my head.
"Me too" he laughed holding the door open for me.
"Thank you" I whispered walking out and the door and locking it once he was out.
"I was thinking instead of going out to a public place we could have dinner at my place. Cisco has been pressuring me into showing him my home anyways. I doubt a meta will attack us" he smiled.
"Sounds lovely. Cisco will be so excited" I smiled while he chuckled.
The drive there was comfortable making made small talk here and there.
Once we got to S.T.A.R labs I grabbed my purse to walk out
"I will see you later" I smiled walking out of the car.
"I'll text you" he smiled
"Bye. Thank you for the ride" I smiled watching him leave. Once I was sure that he was no longer on the premises I let myself in.

"I don't know why you're so upset" I said sternly rolling my eyes at him.
"Why would you show him how to get to S.T.A.R labs?!" Barry argued lifting his arms in frustration.
"Because he offered to give me a ride" I reasoned glaring at him.
"We don't just go around telling people our location Caitlin" he said angrily.
"People come in and out everyday. He doesn't know how to get in Barry. It's not like I gave him a password or anything" I said angrily.
"Oh well that's such a relief! Thank you Caitlin" he said sarcastically rolling his eyes angrily.
"Anyone could look up S.T.A.R labs location Barry!" I said angrily.
"That's not the point!" He yelled.
"Then what's the point!?" I yelled back.
"He's gonna expect you to bring him in next time!" He said shaking his head.
"That won't happen because I won't let him in. Barry I know you don't want people knowing you're the Flash. I wouldn't do anything that would risk that. Even if I don't know you or what our friendship meant to me. I don't betray people" I said glaring at him.
"Well you're obviously being reckless. You don't understand the severity of the situation" he said angrily at me.
"No. What I don't understand is why you're being such a dick" I emphasized angrily.
"Hey hey hey what's going on!?" Iris spoke softly walking in on our fight.
"Ask your husband" I said angrily walking out and bumping right into Cisco.
"Wow there Snowpole what's wrong?" Cisco asked placing his hands on my shoulders to steady me.
"Barry" I said angrily.
"What did he do?" Cisco asked puzzled.
"He's mad about Liam. He brought me here and he's mad that I let him drive me because now he knows where I work" I said furrowing my eyebrows while waving my hands like a psycho.
"Well uh that's...odd" Cisco concluded hesitantly.
"He doesn't trust me" I stated.
"No no he-he trusts you with his life" He replied reassuringly.
"Sure doesn't look like it" I said pointing behind me.
"Let me talk to him" he offered smiling at him.
"I don't need you to talk to him. I have no desire in talking things out with someone who thinks I'm a reckless backstabber" I huffed angrily.
"Caitlin" Cisco sighed in disappointment.
"No Cisco. If this is the type of person Barry is then I have no interest in salvaging any sort of friendship with him" I concluded firmly.
"Now if you excuse me I'm going to my lab and do what I'm supposed to be doing here. I'm going to work." I stated as he stepped to the side to let me walk.
"He cares about you you know?" Cisco spoke softly while my back was facing him and I was walking further away from him.
"He has a funny way of showing it" I said coldly.

Barry pov
"What is wrong with you guys? I could hear you guys shouting all the way from the elevator" Iris said sternly looking at me.
"I-it's nothing" I dismissed.
"It is definitely NOT 'nothing'. I've never seen you guys fight like this before. Barry talk to me" Iris said softly walking towards me.
"Caitlin is just-she's stubborn" I replied rolling my eyes.
"You or Caitlin?" Iris questioned.
"Whose side are you on?" I said defensively.
"Barry I'm your wife. I'll always be in your side even if we don't always see eye to eye." Iris reassured.
"With that said why were you guys yelling at each other?" Iris asked.
"Because Caitlin let Liam bring her to S.T.A.R labs and now he knows our location" I emphasized tightening my fists angrily.
"Babe? Seriously?" Iris questioned looking at me incredulously.
"Yes" I replied.
"Barry anyone with a phone can look up S.T.A.R labs location. It's no secret to the world let alone Central City" she laughed.
"If he knows maybe he could start digging. Maybe asking questions. And then what happens? She just tells him I'm the Flash" I said waving my hands in the air.
"Barry we both know she would never do that. With or without her memory that's just not who she is" She reasoned.
"You know for someone whose always on my side. It sure as hell feels like your taking her side" I argued.
"Barry honey I just don't see the big deal. Liam is Caitlin's friend and it would be more suspicious if she wouldn't let him drop her off at work. She has nothing to hide. At least that's how we're suppose to act. I love you Barry Allen but I think your overreacting sweetie" Iris said placing a hand on my cheek.
"Why would she even risk it? Why would she trust him?" I said clenching my jaw.
"Barry? Are you sure this is about S.T.A.R labs location and not about Caitlin not being able to remember who we are?" Iris questioned.
"Wha-what no!" I lied.
"Barry you can't lie to me remember? I've known you my whole life" Iris smiled and I sighed in defeat.
"You're right. I just-she trusts him more and I guess-I guess I just got so use to her always being there and trusting me and always supporting me. Now she can't even trust me to bring her a cup of water that's not spiked with some sort of drug or something" I rambled lamely.
"Barry. We all know Caitlin has a hard time trusting people. Letting people in. It's not that she can't trust you, she's just scared to" Iris explains.
"But why?" I said sadly.
"Because I'm sure she's trusted several people that didn't deserve it. Not everyone has a heart like yours Barry Allen" Iris said softly pulling me closer.
"I just want her back" I whispered as our forehead touched.
"I know I miss her too. But maybe get to know this Caitlin until we get ours back" Iris smiled kissing my nose lovingly.
"You're right. I was such an ass to her" I said disappointingly
"Babe that I can agree with" Iris smiled before winking at my teasingly and laughing lightly.
"Thank you" I said pulling her towards my chest.
"Anytime babe" Iris smiled snuggling into me.
I hope you liked this chapter. We got a lot of jealous Barry content. I hope you like it. We also got some Iris content. Like I've mentioned before. I don't want to paint Iris as some sort of villain/bitch. I really love Iris(just not with Barry 😂). I think she's a wonderful character. She's empowering, passionate, resilient, smart, dedicated and loving. I love her character and she has so much potential so I will not make her a evil or a bitchy character in my book. Obviously Barry and Iris do not end up together; but they are both good people with kind souls.
