"I'm gone for two seconds and you're all over another guy!?" She exclaims angrily while I just blinked rapidly in shock.
"How can you do that to dad?!" She continued scolding me.
"I don't understand" I whispered shaking my head completely stunned.
"Excatly my thoughts" she exclaims in utter disgust.
"No no no Dawn! Stop talking about Liam for one second. How are  you here!?" I said ignoring her current angry jealous rant.
"What do you mean how am I here? Was I not suppose to be here? Oh my gosh... have you and Liam..are you–are you pregnant? OH MY GOSH IM NOT EVEN YOUR FIRST BORN ANYMORE" Dawn exclaimed in horror her eyes almost bulging out of their socket.
"Dawn! Nooooooooooo! Calm down!" I said shaking my head rubbing a hand through my hair.
"Then what woman what?" She asked desperately tugging her hair.
"First, don't give me attitude please. Second, I am NOT pregnant. Third, I am–I don't even know what my third point was" I said loosing track of my thoughts still dumbfounded by seeing Dawn in front of me.
"Well I'm sorry? I come home and see Prince Charming swooping you over your feet. Absolutely pathetic" She said bitterly.
"Don't be rude. Barry just told me you vanished out of thin air" I blinked walking towards her.
"Yeah because you forgot about me so it made a dent on the timeline" She said rolling her eyes angrily.
"Right" I said hesitantly drifting my gaze guiltily.
"What is that look?" She asked me approaching squinting her eyes accusingly.
"What look? I'm not going you a look? I don't have a look? There's no look" I mumbled rapidly.
"Oh you definitely gave me an 'I messed up' look. It's a mom look you give me and Ron when you forget to pick us up from school or something " She added placing her hands on her hips.
"Nope. You're reading me wrong" I lied.
"No no no. Mom what is it?" She asked.
"Nothing" I said.
"Mom–" She pushed more.
"Caitlin" I heard a soft voice say from behind me and I immediately knew it was him.
"Barr" I whispered sadly turning around to face him.
"Cait" he whispered my name again but absolutely heartbroken.
"What's going on?" Dawn asked cluelessly.
"Nothing speedy" Barry faked a small smile while turning around walking away from us both.
"I'm going to bed. You two figure your crap out" Dawn said scoldingly speeding her way to her guest room.
I sighed sadly before walking towards my backyard.
I saw Barry sitting down while staring blankly at nothing h specifically.
I walked towards him quietly, sitting down in the seat next to him; neither of us said a thing for a long while, the silence was so uncomfortable and prolonged that I decided to break it.
"I'm sorry" is all I managed to say to him while staring at my feet. There was longer silence before he said anything.
" I got all these new memories all of a sudden from conversations we've never had before" he spoke finally very hesitantly almost as if the memories were too painfully intimate to share.
"I never meant to hurt you Barr. I just-I can't just wait for Barry anymore" I confessed sadly.
"I know Cait" he whispered back sadly.
"God I'm so selfish. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything. I should of–" I said sadly looking at him before he lifted his hands up in surrender.
"Please don't do this to yourself Cait. You're too harsh on yourself. You always have been. It's not a felony to want some happiness for yourself. I didn't come here to demand anything from you. I love you and I-I just wanted to make sure you were okay" He said meeting my eyes for the first time since he got here.
The sadness that radiated from his eyes is so indescribable. It broke my heart into a million pieces. At the sight of how heartbroken he was I broke into tears.
"I'm so so sorry Barr. I don't want to ruin your family. I can't do that to you" I sobbed into my hands and I can feel him slowly reach for me.
"Don't cry Cait. Specially not over me please..." he begged wiping my tears away with his thumbs tenderly.
"I can't do this to you" I cried taking a hold of his hands that were softly placed against my cheeks.
"I want YOU to find happiness; not Cisco's, not Iris's, not Joe's, not Barry's; but YOUR happiness. And if in the end that happens to be with me then I'll be the luckiest man in the world. You're my girl forever. I love you Cait and now you have to learn to love yourself too" He said warmly kissing my forehead lovingly and wrapping his arms around me and pulling me close to him.
