Luigi walked shakily through city streets, dodging light as best he could and turning away when he heard things he assumed were other people. He had lowered to walking on all fours like an animal once again, though he couldn't explain why. He did his best to keep a hold on the raggedy backpack he grabbed to make carrying Rosalina's remains easier.
Finally he found an alleyway that, as far as Luigi could tell, was hidden, so she wouldn't be found for some time. He slowly opened the bag and carefully placed the bones and rotting meat scraps around and against the dumpster nearby, propping a femur up, and placing his poor victim's skull on top.
-"Ah, what a sight!"-
The voice purred once Luigi had finished.
-"It looks like whoever finds it would be doomed to a demise by the masses!"
Luigi sighed, "Tone it down some, Beelzebub..." he grumbled. He heard the voice cackle, it appeared to enjoy that nickname and, chances are, it just might stick. His eye gazed at the scene for a little, remembering every detail of Rosalina's death. He shuddered at the thought that he actually ingested her flesh, her blood. He got a grim thought. His own voice, like an echo of the newly formed animalistic version of him spoke,
>And I'll do it again.
Luigi blinked in horror. What was he thinking?! The worst part of it all was that he actually might. He heard footsteps and whispered, hoping the voice will respond, "Please tell me I'm just paranoid, and there really aren't footsteps."
-"I wish I could, but they're real. Hide."-
Luigi took the order, and, moving fast, he buried himself under a pile of discarded boxes. He dared to peek through, however. He had to know when the coast was clear, of course. A pair of toads walked past, one asked,
"What was that noise?"
"Don't worry about it, maybe it was a raccoon or something. No big deal." The one closer to him turned his head, "Hey, what's that?"
Luigi felt his heart pounding, how could anyone have found this scene so fast?!
He watched helplessly as the toads cried out in terror, wondering who could have possibly done this. He covered his face, trying not to cry, knowing that, with his luck, he'd be found if he did. Eventually, they ran off to tell someone. He forced his way free from the cardboard mountain and yelped, "I need to get out of here!"
