The Toad had fallen asleep, and L was ever so carefully carrying them off, placing them back in the woods, about where he had taken them.

No, where Wendigo had taken them.

He backed up before scurrying away, closing and locking the door. His heart pounded in his head, but he did his best not to focus on it, not wanting to be consumed by the horrid noise.
>What was that about?!
Wendigo snarled. The feral voice chilled him to the bone.
>I was looking forward to that one!
L felt his arm move, but not on his accord. He cried out, fighting back for the control that was rightfully his, and slammed his fist into the wall, immediately shrieking in pain.

"I don't want to do this anymore!! This should have ended when I got rid of that... that thing... No! It should have ended long before that! It never should have started! I can't believe I ever decided it was okay, even for a second!"

-"And its taken you until now to realise, love?"-
L sobbed, "Yes, I admit it... It all just finally got to me..."
He heard Wendigo scoff,
>What does it matter? We both dragged you down too far.

"But can't we still get help? Beelzebub said it already, nobody knows it's me... us... whatever-"

>The TOAD, idiot.
-"Well, I did technically tell them that we weren't who they thought..."-
>YOU-
"Stop fighting!" L cried, sliding down the wall until he was seated.
"The point is, we might be able to go back. We'll need to clean up, but we can get better, right?!"

>Oh, listen to yourself! You suddenly just think that all three of us can go out there and not immediately make matters worse?!

-"Wendigo, please..."-
>I'm just being realistic! We are all guilty of something! It's going to take a damn miracle to fix any of us!
"But I want to try!"
>THE LAST PERSON WHO WANTED TO TRY WAS THROWN OFF A CLIFF!

L was stunned into silence. He fell onto his side, the two voices became quiet, leaving him to his whimpering. New sounds filled his mind. Every one of them enraged. It felt like he was outed as the monster and put up for all to see. They screamed, berated, and called him all different sorts of things. He looked up, and bloodshot eyes appeared to float all

over. Each one was dripping in a liquid he could only assume was tears. He covered his eye, clenching his jaw.

He lay almost motionlessly for quite some time, until he finally choked out,
"Please... please, just let me try... I want to be saved..."
He continued to softly cry as the innumerable voices of rage burst through his subconscious. He felt so alone, but at the same time, it was like he really was being watched. His leg shook for only a moment, as if his own body was urging him to run away. Eventually, he heard something cutting the painful sounds filling his mind like a glass. He looked around, the eyes were gone. He felt tired, but he wasn't sure if it was from what felt, to him, like a battle, or if it was from how much he cried. He glanced around, trying to find the source of the noise, but his heart raced out of fear.

There was a faint orange glow, and a sense of familiarity he couldn't shake.
