Wendigo awoke. Everything was blurry and he felt a little sick.
"Are you okay?!"
Daisy cried.
Wendigo groaned, grabbing whoever it was next to him."Yeah, I'm okay... I'm okay..."
Mario helped prop him up against a wall, and through his eyesight, he can tell his brother was worried.
"Are you sure? You had a pretty bad fall."
Wendigo smirked,
"As opposed to a pretty good fall?"
Mario sighed, seeming to recognize that attitude and shift in voice,
"Wendigo, now isn't the time for this."Wendigo laughed,
"Okay, okay, I'm sure I'm okay. I dunno why that happened though."
"Well, the important thing is that you're okay. You need help up, bro?"Wendigo shook his head, "No, no, I can do it. No worries."
He began to stand, using the wall to help him. He looked around, his vision cleared, for the most part, anyway.
"I didn't miss anything, right?"
"Nothing much, there weren't any speeches or whatever," Daisy said.
"Alright. Good."Wendigo twitched a bit. He and the others went and returned to the statue. There was still a crowd, to his surprise, and it swarmed the small group.
"What happened?"
"What's going on with Luigi?"
"Is that a ghost...?!"
"Why'd you leave?!"
The swamp of questions was... a lot, for one thing.
Mario did his best to answer the questions, but he was obviously overwhelmed. Wendigo frowned, and quickly grabbed Mario's arm.
He dragged him away, Mario was still trying to respond to questions.
"Don't stress yourself out. That will not end well."
He spoke sharply, with a slightly aggressive tone.
Mario looked suprised at first, but calmed down quickly.Wendigo sat next to him, sighing.
"That was a little harsh, I'm s-"
"No, no, you're right..."
They were quiet for a while, but there was nothing to say.A blast sounded out, with a loud,
"MARIO!!"
Wendigo flinched, and was breathless for a second.
Mario immediately jumped up, ready for action.
"What's going on?!"
Wendigo yelped.
"The princess is being kidnapped... again"
"Again?!"
"Just, come on! I'm gonna need your help!"
"What?"
"Come on, we can do this."
Mario smiled warmly, Wendigo decided that it probably was for the best that he tags along.A lot happened since last December.
Who could have guessed a ghost could drag you through the dirt this badly?
And it turns out that possession isn't always noticeable.
But it was okay in the end.
Wendigo, Beelzebub, and L may not ever know how Mario could possibly face Bowser's wrath with the confidence he does,
So clearly, even after all this,
Some things never change.-The End-
