The Wendigo had long left the cliffside, stalking its way through the woods. Meanwhile, Luigi was horrified at what the monster had forced him to do. After it had forcibly taken control of his body, he grew afraid that he'd never be able to go back.
It crept around, grinning as it always did, glancing at its reflection as it passed by a pool of water. Luigi felt sick to his stomach. He knew that starved body all too well, recognizing it to be himself, but the grin held  moral-less, vicious, inhuman qualities that sent chills spiking through his body... or perhaps their body. His eye seemed hollow and devoid of life, which he found odd, for he had never died.
Or, perhaps, he did, but not physically. His past life, in which he did not struggle between himself, the Wendigo, and the numerous voices, or hide from everyone else to avoid being found, causing people to believe he truly did die, was becoming meaningless. His memories of that life were beginning to to burn away, with this terrible, new life rising up from the ashes.
Eventually, the Wendigo collapsed on the ground, and Luigi rolled over. A joy came to him as he realised he had control over himself again, but this happiness was shot down at the thought of Wendigo taking over again. He stood up, and in that instant, he heard something, something vaguely familiar.
He turned around to see a ghost, one with claws like stones. What memories remained of it returned to him as his heart sank. He heard the Wendigo growl, but only within his mind.
"Well, well, well," the ghost purred, "Look at what's become of you. It's much better than I could have ever imagined! I had planned the tests I put upon you, what, over a year ago, carefully, even with a few last-minute changes, to see what would happen if I tried to turn a pacifist into a killer... the results have intrigued me, I'll say that much. Unfortunately, your time has come and gone, you've done your damage. Now, I must put you down..." the ghost's claw began to glow, and Luigi's heart raced. He began to cower, but suddenly, the demonic voice spoke,
-"What are you doing, darling? Don't die because you were told to! Live because you were advised against it!"-
Luigi sighed, and snarled, launching forward. He grabbed the ghost's claw, resisting its advancements towards him, and dug his own claws into the stone. Soon enough, they began to crumble away, the ghost shrieking. It began to dissolve, the rocks falling to the ground, and the remnants of the spirit creating a shockwave that sent Luigi flying into a tree. He was breathing rapidly, laughing between breaths.
He's alive.
