I shook my head as the chariot came to a stop, causing me to turn around as I stopped off of it, holding my dress to avoid falling over at as I looked over at Ridley who looked equally as annoyed as I did. Everyone was hopping out of their chariots, the careers cheering as they hugged each other, finding that whole thing extremely exciting for what it was.

"Sacrifice" I scoffed, extremely annoyed at Snows choice of words as I shook my head, throwing my hair over my shoulder as Ridley looked over at me. "They think we want to be here, that we are enjoying it" I told Ridley, who jumped down out of the chariot, landing lightly on his feet. "They don't know what district life is like" Ridley said to me as I shook my head, turning around to see both Velvet and Nolan standing there, whispering to each other as I stopped in my tracks my, staring at them.

Velvet smiled at me as I stared back at the two of them, Ridley shifting on his feet as he cleared his throat lightly. "Bye" he said to me quickly, turning on his heel as he practically ran away, leaving me with both of the girls which wasn't an ideal situation for me right now. "Nice dress" Velvet said to me, extending her arm as she grabbed my sleeve in her hand, feeling the fabric as she smiled at me sweetly, but I knew that it definitely wasn't a nice smile.

"Thank you, I like your one too" I said as she let out a laugh, letting go of me as she looked over at Nolan who smiled at her before turning to look at me. "Are you enjoying your time in the Capitol?" Nolan said to me, setting one hand on her hip as she scrunched her nose at me as if I was a child she was talking to. "It's quite nice here" I replied, nodding my head as I kept my hands by my side, needing to show them that they didn't intimidate me, even though they very much did.

"Well you better enjoy it" she said to me as she smiled, running her tongue along her teeth as Velvet let out a small laugh, flipping her hair over her shoulder as I looked over at her. "You know, the boys want you in the pack, they think you can throw one hell of a punch" Velvet said to me, shaking her head as she shrugged her shoulders innocently. "Personally, I think they just like the look of you" she added on at the end, still staring at me as she let out a small laugh.

"You didn't train at the academy with us, and personally I don't think you can throw a better punch than your scrawny shadow" Nolan said as she referenced Ridley, not having to mention him directly for me to know exactly who she was talking about. She took a step closer to me, making me out one foot behind the other, not stepping back from her but giving me the opportunity to if i needed to at any point. "So we will see how much of a threat you are before we start welcoming you with open arms" she said to me quietly as she lifted her chin, staring me straight in the eyes as she broke out to a smile.

"Nice talking to you" she said to me as she turned around quickly, walking away as Velvet held eye contact with me for a moment, shaking her head at me as she smiled again. "See you later, 4" she said to me as she also turned around, following after Nolan as they pair walked away from me, finally giving me a moment to let out a deep breath that o was holding that whole time, taking a small step back.

I couldn't tell if the fact that half of the career pack wanted me to be allies was a good thing or a bad thing, I hadn't decided on if I wanted to be allies with them. I set my hand on my stomach as I shook my head, making my way for the exit so that I could get out of this dress immediately and into my pyjamas, completely over the whole idea of dressing up and playing Capitol citizen.

As I made my way to the electors I knew I had an easy choice on what to do before I go into that arena, knowing that in the long run it will be good to have people with some experience on my team. If I was going to even have small chance of winning this, I needed their protection to help me.
