I stared at the navy blue dress I was wearing, the very full skirt reaching to my mid shins, showing off the white heels I was wearing which thankfully weren't as high as the ones Daria had made me try on. There were thin sleeves covering my arms down to my wrist, the material flows and the layers of tile on the skirt may being my dress look like a ball gown as I turned around to let Calix have one final view of me.

"It's a lovely dress" I said to Calix as I turned back to the mirror, the skirt catching the light as the small crystals scattered over it caught the light. "I barely got it finished, I was working all day" he said to me as I bent down a little, letting him sweep some lipgloss over my lips as I stared at myself in the mirror.

My hair was half pulled up, the rest of it cascading in waves down my back and the top half done up in intricate braids. I had let my other stylists do my makeup without much fuss, long extensions on my eyelashes as they curled up the way, my eyebrows plucked to perfection and my cheekbones chiselled smoothly.

"You'll dazzle the whole crowd" he said to me as I slipped my hand into his, taking a. step off of the platform i was on. "Will you be watching?" I asked him as he laughed at me, nodding his head as he pulled on his blazer jacket, buckling the large belt around his waist. "I will be front row when you're on stage, shoot me a smile" he said to me as he led me out of the room, his arm steadying me to avoid falling over, which was possible with my heels.

"I'll try remember" I said as I winked at him quickly, making him laugh as we stopped at the electors, Calix looked at me as he puffed the material under my skirt a little bit, making the finishing touches to me before the whole of the country would see me on national TV.

I stood at the front of the line of tributes as I watched bed the screen on the wall opposite us, the boy from District 4 sitting on stage with Caesar Flickerman as he answered his questions. I had my hands clasped in front of me, waiting for someone to collect me to take me out onto the stage. Ridley stood by my side silently, a matching navy blue suit on as he stared at the screen, not saying a single word to me.

The rest of the tributes were also standing in the line behind me, it being my turn to go onto the stage next as i heard the crowd laughing loudly. "So tell me, Fuse, what's one thing that you're going to take into that arena that will give you an advantage?" Caesar asked Fuse who had answered all his questions in a whisper, clearly nervous in front of the large crowd and cameras.

"My brain" Fuse said confidently, Caesar letting out a surprised exclamation as he turned towards the audience who were also intrigued by this. I wanted to hear what else he had to say, wondering just how smart he truly was. "4" the lady who was telling people when to go said to me as she pointed at the stairs at the end of the hall. I let out a small breath as I walked over to the stairs, walking up them as I found myself backstage, a few people standing there as they looked over me, one man spraying my hair quickly.

I could see the stage, seeing Fuse and Caesar sitting in the middle of the stage as the presenter finished the interview with Fuse's name, the crowd clapping quickly. My hands were shaking as everyone around me took a step back, indicating it was officially my turn for my 3 minute interview.

"Next, we move onto the District of the seas, and I announce to you Waverley Kersey of District 4" Caesar said as he held up arm out to my side of the stage, the crowd cheering and clapping as I shook my hands on either side of me. I slapped a smile onto my face as I walked out onto the stage confidently, smiling at the crowd as I walked over to Caesar.
