Abby groaned as she opened her eyes, quickly reaching over to her nightstand and silencing her alarm.

She sighed as she rubbed her eyes and sat up. She picked up her phone and looked at the date, a small smile appearing on her face. "Today's the day." She said, sighing warmly.

She pulled back the covers and swung her legs over the side of the bed. She went to grab her ring off of her nightstand, but to her astonishment, it wasn't there.

Right after the wedding she bought a  small box to keep her ring in, that is when it wasn't on her finger, which was only at night.

The box was in the shape of heart, it was red, but not bright red, more of a maroon. The material on the box was soft and velvety. Sure, it was kind of cheesy, but what the heck - she was in love. She kept the ring in between the two small pillows that rested inside the box.

Her eyes went wide as she opened the box and found it empty.

"Oh no." She mumbled, worry in her voice. She frantically moved all her belongings on her nightstand in search of the ring.

She looked underneath the nightstand and all around it. She checked under her bed and all around it. Although she remembered taking the ring off the night before - she still checked in the bed. She removed the blankets and the pillows. But it all seemed useless, the ring - was nowhere to be found.

"No, no, no no no!" She said as she frantically threw her pillows off the bed.
"It has to be here! I-I know it's here."

"It must be here!" She said as she stood in the center of the room, looking around.

She took deep breaths as she searched frantically for her ring. She looked everywhere. Not one item in her room went untouched. She found things she forgot she even had. She searched every square inch of the room. Tears appeared in her eyes as she picked up the last item she had yet to move. Unfortunately, no ring was under or around it.

She stood in the middle of the room, breathing heavily, her eyes wide and filled to the brim with tears, and mouth open. She let out a shaky breath as she closed her eyes.

"My wedding ring is gone." She said as she opened her eyes. Hot tears instantly burning her cheeks the second she opened them.

She quickly and furiously wiped them away. She was not a cryer. She hated to cry, and she hardly ever did. But at this moment, crying didn't sound so bad.

All she wanted to do, was climb back in bed, get underneath her covers, and cry all day. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to do that. She had an audition to be at in less than two hours. She thought about skipping it, but not one audition had gone well, and she desperately needed to find work.

She also had plans with some friends that afternoon.

She swallowed hard, not allowing herself to cry. She took a deep breath. "Hold on. Stay strong. Don't cry." She sighed as she said these words. Trying her best to keep it together. But if she was being honest, that seemed to become harder every day.

She headed to the bathroom to begin getting ready. She made up her mind. She would make it through today, and she wouldn't cry. Everything would be okay.

"Good morning class." Sydni said with a sigh as she walked onto the ice skating rink. She was a figure skater, and had the job of coaching a class. Unfortunately, she was stuck with teaching beginners, young, beginners. Every week something always managed to go wrong.
