Abby and Edmund laid on a blanket under the stars, staring at the night sky together. They were wrapped in each others arms, Abby lay with her head resting on Edmund's chest, her arms wrapped around his waist. Edmund had his arms wrapped tightly around her, one hand gently stroking her hair.

"I've missed this." Abby said.

"What?" Edmund asked.

"Lying safely in your arms, looking at the stars."

"I've missed it too. I've missed you as well. I missed your beautiful face. Your hands. Your soft skin. The smell of your hair. Your beautiful, chocolate brown eyes. Your kind smile. I've missed absolutely everything about you."

Abby smiled as she listened. "I missed you too. I missed the sound of your voice. I missed lying in your arms. I missed looking in your eyes - the windows to your soul." She smiled slightly as she looked up at his eyes. Seeing love and happiness in them. "I missed your laugh, and your smile. Your sense of humor, your sarcasm. Oh, and most of all your accent."

"My accent?" Edmund said with a chuckle

"Your accent is so cute. I love it! Plus British accents are the best accents."

Edmund laughed. "Whatever you say my love." He kissed her forehead.

Abby smiled, closing her eyes for a moment before opening them once again.
"How did you cope, Ed? Going from a
King to a child again and leaving Narnia. That must have been so difficult."

Edmund sighed heavily. "It wasn't easy. Reigning as a king for so many years, then becoming a child again in an instant. During our reign, I prayed that you would come back every day. I sat at the place where we had our wedding every night, looking at the stars. On our anniversary I spent the entire day there. Or sometimes in your room. I never allowed anyone else to use it after you left. Anyway, years passed, and suddenly, I was a grownup. And I still missed you everyday. I never found another girl. I couldn't date anyone in good conscience, knowing I was married to you. Peter wanted me to move on...but I couldn't. He brought in more queens and princess than I could count for me to meet. I was polite, and I smiled. They were all nice girls, really they were. But...but they weren't you. Not one could even compare to you. No matter how many girls Peter forced me to dance with, I was still in love with one girl only. You."

Abby smiled widely and grabbed Edmunds hand. "I love you." She said, kissing his lips.

"I love you too." Edmund choked.

"That must have been so hard for you Edmund. All those years in Narnia, then another year in England. As a child again. I'm so sorry you went through that."

"It was hard." Edmund said.

"How was the transition from England to Narnia?"

"Difficult." Edmund sighed. "Before we went to Narnia I was a selfish, mean, bratty child. My worst fear, was becoming that person again."

"Oh, Ed." Abby said. "You would never become that person again."

"I knew you would say that." Edmund said with a small smile. "So that's how I never became him. Imagining what you would say if I did. How disappointed you would be. That's not the Edmund Pevensie you fell in love with. I could never become someone you wouldn't love."

Tears appeared in Abby's eyes as she listened.

"The main problems began when we returned home to Finchley. Peter has been extremely bossy, and he gets into fights a lot. He also doesn't show me any appreciation for saving him in all the fights. Susan accepted living in England so much I almost thought she forgot about Narnia. Lucy is trying to grow up but Peter and Susan won't allow her to. They think she is a helpless little girl."
