"You don't like Abby?!" Sydni practically screamed at Peter.

"No." Peter breathed. "But listen-"

"How in the world can you not like her? What could she have done?"

"Look, Sydni-"

"Nothing! She has done nothing to you! You live in different worlds, I'm pretty sure I've heard all of your conversations. I know none of them turned to arguments! I know she is the kindest person I've ever met! She wouldn't harm an insect, let alone her brother-in-law! She loves you and thinks of you as her own brother by blood! So you tell me, Peter Pevensie, why do you hate my best friend?!"

Her eyes were angry, she was burning with rage. Her face was red and her breathing was heavy. Her eyebrows were raised, and her teeth were gritted.

Peter swallowed hard, his eyes were wide. He was breathing heavily. He never wanted Sydni to know this, but he couldn't lie to her either. His temper was holding on by a single thread. Now he feared he had no chance with her. So he cut the thread, and released his anger.

"She broke Edmund's heart!" He shouted.

Sydni almost laughed. "I'm sorry." She said sarcastically. "You are aware that Edmund and Abby are married, aren't you?"

Peter sighed in frustration.

"You were the best man, remember? Although I'm not sure why at this exact moment." She rolled her eyes.

"Yes, I know they are married, and that's the cause of the broken heart. Edmund was so in love with her. When she left, he was completely broken. His heart was in a million pieces. And she caused it."

Sydni's mouth dropped open as her eyes widened. "And you think Abby's heart wasn't?!" She screamed, her hands in the air.

"The first thing she did when we left was cry, sob, actually. She was all alone. She moved away from her family, in a huge lonely city. She wasn't near Anna or me. All she could do was miss him. She could think about nothing, but the pain, and her broken heart, and loneliness."

"You think Edmund didn't experience that?! Maybe he wasn't alone, but he sure acted like it. We all tried to be there for him, but he shut us out. He stayed in his room for days and days. He would walk on the beach at night, but he would never allow me to come along. He said it was his 'time alone with Abby'" He said in a mocking tone. "For months, I only saw him in the middle of the night. When I would wake him from nightmares about her."

"Do you have any idea how many times she called me sobbing?! Missing Edmund so much she could hardly bear it! She would call me in the morning saying she couldn't sleep because she couldn't stop thinking about Edmund. And when she thought about him, she could do nothing but cry, because she would never see him again. She had nobody to hug, nothing in her life to make it worth living! She lost everything when she lost Edmund. And she has yet to gain it all back."

"Edmund lost everything too Sydni, along with the rest of us! First he lost her. Then, he lost someone he thought was a friend, but turned out to be an enemy. Then we all lost Narnia. Our home and our kingdom. We had to continue life as if it didn't even exist. As if we were never even Kings or Queens. He was even more broken up in England than he was in Narnia. It broke my heart. I could do nothing about it, no matter how hard I tried. I could never mend his broken heart. I couldn't even put a piece back in place. And if he never would have met her, he never would have went through that."

"Are you saying you wish Edmund never mer Abby?" Sydni asked, slowly.

  "Yes."

Sydni took a deep breath. "If Edmund and Abby never met, that would mean you and I never met."
