Edmund sprinted as fast as he possibly could towards Abby.
He managed to make it out of Jadis-
or rather, Alaska's- castle, without getting caught. Although, it took much longer than he hoped it would. Once he left the castle, he ran, he had no idea where she was, but he knew he had to find her. So, he ran as far from the castle as he could. Once he got into the woods he saw a group of people kneeling on the ground. And when he saw who they knelt over, his heart began to pound. But then he heard crying, and felt his heart break into a million pieces, once again. He finally made it to Abby, quickly kneeling beside her.
"Abby?" He said quickly. He grabbed her hand, and gave it a squeeze.
"Abby?!" He said again when she didn't respond. He waited a moment, still, she did nothing.
"Do you know what's wrong with her Edmund?" Anna choked through her tears.
Edmund swallowed hard, not taking his eyes off of Abby. He let out a small sigh before answering. "Alaska. She froze her...heart." He choked, barely able to form the words.
Everyone's eyes went wide.
"What?!" Peter said.
"Well, how do we fix it?!" Sydni asked.
"She said you can't." Edmund choked.
"She must be lying." Sydni said quickly. "I mean, why wouldn't she lie? She wants both of you d-" She swallowed hard before continuing. "Dead, right?"
"Even if there is a cure we don't even know what it is. So we can't fix it?" Susan said, the sadness and worry evident in her voice.
"Did you give her the cordial Lucy?" Edmund asked quickly.
Lucy nodded. "Just a few moments ago. It only cured her injuries though. It didn't fix her heart" A tear slowly ran down her cheek.
"There must be a way!" Sydni said.
"Yeah, All we have to do is find it!" Anna said with nod of her head.
Edmund slowly looked back at Abby. He began stroking her -snow white- hair from her forehead. "She's dying." He choked, as a tear ran down his cheek.
Everyone looked at him, tears in their eyes.
"My wife is dying." He sobbed.
"She's not dead Edmund." Peter said quickly. "She's still breathing."
"But listen to her breathing! It's more work for her to stay alive than to let go." He stared into her pale face as he said this, a look of pain written all over it.
Tears streamed down Edmund's cheeks. He laid his head on Abby's chest, sobbing uncontrollably.
Aslan. Aslan, please don't take her from me. I don't think I'll survive this. Please.

Abby let out a sigh as she slowly opened her eyes. She slowly stood up, wondering how she was able to do so. Only a moment ago, she could barely speak.
She looked around. It looked like she was in the woods. But it also, didn't? It was like another version of the woods, a better, more beautiful version.
She slowly turned around, only for her eyes to go wide and a huge smile to appear on her face.
"Aslan!" She cried, running over and wrapping her arms around the lion. She buried her face in his mane.
