"Now." Edmund breathed a moment later, "you need to eat Abby."
Abby sighed. "Why?" She asked.
Edmund's eyes widened slightly. "Hmm I'm not sure...maybe because you just passed out from not eating or sleeping for days."
Abby stared at him for a moment, before signing. "Fine." She breathed.
"Good." Edmund said with a nod. Anna then handed Abby a piece of bread.
Abby slowly, and hesitantly, grabbed the bread from her. She looked at it for a moment before slowly taking a bite. She wasn't chewing for 5 seconds before she quickly took another bite, and then another, quickly devouring the piece of bread.
Edmund chuckled slightly. "Here." He said grabbing the glass of water and handing it to her.
"Thanks." She said before taking a drink, downing the whole glass in a few seconds.
About fifteen minutes later Abby had eaten enough to feel satisfied, or rather to satisfy Edmund.
"Now, you need sleep." Edmund said. "And plenty of it."
Abby sighed in frustration. "Ed." She groaned.
"No." He said quickly. "You're exhausted Abby! You haven't slept in days! You need to sleep."
Abby stared at him for a moment. "Will you stay here with me?" She asked slowly.
Edmund smiled. "Course I will." He said, placing a gentle kiss to her forehead.
"Alright." Abby breathed. "I'll sleep."

Abby slept the entire day, not waking until late that night - despite her telling Edmund she wasn't even tired.
Edmund slept some as well, but not nearly as much as Abby. He mostly sat there with her, or laid beside her. He held her hand and brushed the hair from her eyes as she slept. That night, Abby and Edmund sat outside The How. Looking at - you guessed it - the stars.
Edmund had told Abby that she needed to stay in bed, but she assured him she was fine. With a great amount of hesitation, he finally let her out of bed.
Edmund's arm was around Abby's shoulders, her head resting on his own shoulder.
They sat there in comfortable silence for a long while - just enjoying each other's company and looking at the stars.
Abby finally broke the silence.
"Why did you do it, Ed?" She choked.
Edmund sighed. "Because I love you Abby." He said. "I can't let anything happen to you."
"I would have been fine!"
"Abby." Edmund said slowly. "Alaska was about to stab you when I got there. You wouldn't have been fine." He swallowed hard.
Abby sighed, squeezing his hand before talking a moment later. "You could have...stabbed her with your sword, then we could have figured out another way to kill her."
Edmund shook his head. "Aslan said that was the only way."
"Then...we could have...kept her locked up and starved her to death." Abby said.
"That wouldn't have kept her dead though."
"We could have buried her alive, let her spend her immortal life underground."
