The group continued traveling the rest of the day with no problems. They had decided to stop and make camp for the night a little over an hour ago.

After finishing dinner, the seven of them sat around a campfire they had just lit. All of them were in a fairly happy mood, after all, the woman who tried to kill them was dead. Which meant they were free. Needless to say, the group was smiling and laughing together.

But suddenly, without warning, the fire vanished, and the laughter ceased. Before anyone could question it, a loud shriek reached everyone's ears.

Everyone looked up, to see the face they expected to never see again. Edmund and Abby both expected this face to haunt their nightmares for a long time yet. But they certainly didn't expect to see it like this, and definitely not so soon.

Eyes wide, mouths open in shock, they all stared at a very angry, very much alive Alaska.

That wasn't even the scariest part. Even more frightening than the fact that Peter shoved a sword in her, yet here she stood, as if it never happened, was the fact she had Lucy.

Lucy Pevensie. The girl who never hurt a soul, with all the compassion and faith in the world. Young in age, but wise beyond her years. And -even before Narnia- The Valiant Queen.

Alaska held an ice dagger -just like the one she had mere hours ago- to Lucy's neck.

"Hello all." She said in a sickly sweet voice.

"Lucy." Peter and Edmund choked, scared out of their minds for their younger sister.

Susan would have done the same, but she was far too shocked to bring her lips to form the word. She watched this woman die mere hours ago! Now she was standing in front of her with a knife to her sister's neck. How was this possible?

"We killed you." Peter said. " I killed you."

"Oh, I know." Alaska said, anger lacing her voice. "It hurt, I'll admit. Yet, here I am, standing in front of you with my dagger on your sisters neck. Funny how things work out sometimes isn't it?"

"How are you here?!" Edmund demanded.

Alaska stared at him for a long while, ice and evil filling her eyes. "I can't die!" She screamed, a grin slowly making its way onto her face.

"What do you mean you can't die?" Abby asked slowly, fear lacing her voice.

"I cannot be killed." She repeated.

"That's impossible." Edmund said. "Witches aren't immortal. You were alive 1300 years ago, you shouldn't even be alive now. You should have died a long time ago."

"Well I didn't! I am very much alive! So you can kill me all you want, but it doesn't matter. No matter how much you kill me, I will keep coming back to life."

Everyone stared at her, looking absolutely bewildered.

Edmund shook his head, whispering, 'no,' over and over again.

"By the way." Alaska said. "When I 'die', it hurts. Which makes me angry. So each time I come back to life, I have a stronger desire to pass on the pain. And who better to pass the pain to than The Valiant Queen."

She pressed the dagger harder to the young girl's neck.

  "Let her go!" Peter shouted.

"Hand Edmund and Abby over." Alaska retorted.

"Please don't hurt her." Susan finally managed to choke.

"I'm getting impatient." Alaska breathed, rolling her eyes. "Five seconds."
