CHAPTER SEVENTEEN: Something

I opened my eyes then I covered my face with my pillow.

Wtf is that noise?! May uwak bang binili si Dad?

I threw away my pillow at inis akong tumayo ng kama ko. I scartched my head as I opened the door of my room.

Lalong lumakas yung tunog ng uwak.

Napakunot yung noo ko ng makita ko si Yana sa kabilang dulo ng hallway ng west wing. Nakatalikod sya at mukhang nagma-mop ng sahig.

"That you will be here! And give me sign! Hit me baby one more time!" she sings, kung pagkanta nga ang matatawag dun.

(>_____>) Tsk! Kumekembot na sya ngayon.

I approach her at dahil mukhang busy sya sa pagkanta at pagsayaw hindi nya ako napansin.

I crossed my arms as I continued to watch her dance with those silly moves.

Pfft! She's an awful dancer! Kunwari nag split pa pero di naman pala kaya!

"Ouch!" she exclaimed habang hinihimas yung binti nyang na over stretched nya.

Di ko napigilang lumabas ang isang pigil na pagtawa.

She turned around at gulat na napatingin sa akin.

"K-kanina ka pa dyan?" she asks me. I just grinned at her.

"Nakita mo?" nahihiya nyang tanong.

I laughed.

Shems! Hindi ba nya alam na naka-boxers lang sya ngayon?

May peklat din pala ang kaliwa nyang balikat at dibdib?

He stopped laughing. Nailang ako ng tignan nya ako sa mata.

"You sing like a crow but your dancing is the worst. Please do me a favor and don't ever dance again when I am around." he said tapos tumalikod na sya at pumasok muli ng kwarto nya.

I stomped my foot.

"Nakakainis ka naman ilong! Kung kelan kita kailangan atsaka hindi ka gumana!" I said to my nose.

Tssss! Sing like a crow daw?!

Ramiel

I was sitting at one corner of the library reading a book when I heard laughters outside.

I stand up and went to the window. Hinawi ko ang kurtina and look at below. Una kong nakita si Laylah na tumatkbo holding a water gun Moira came running after her laughing as they battled each other with water guns. Then she enters the picture.

Si Yana....

She laughs out loud and screams as Laylah and Moira teams up to sprinkle water on her.

She looks different today as I watch her happily playing with my little sister and Moira. Her hair seems to glimmer under the sun and her cheek bones becomes even more prominent as she laughs.

Hindi Ko napapansin na unti unti na aKong napapangiti habang nakatingin sa kanya.

Be careful Ram. You might get smitten by this one. Ate Liz's words came into my mind.

Suddenly Yana looks up the window and I immediately hide myself behind the curtain.

What was that about? Why am I even secretly staring at her?!
