How is everyone doing? I just wanted to let you know that Shadow is coming to it's near end and all I am saying is that the plot twists in this story is mind blowing! I am already working on the second book so stay tuned!

Izzy came in my room and I quickly moved away from Alec. I could see that Izzy was quite surprised that I wasn't trying to kill off Alec but he was the least of my worries right now. I looked over at her and gave her a quick and awkward smile.
"Hey." I said and she smiled. From the corner of my eye, I could see Alec looking at his little sister and then looking down. Why was he acting awkward?
"We don't have any hits on Jonathan or Jace but we could try speaking to Liz." Izzy suggested as she spoke and I nodded.
"Do we have a choice?" I asked and she shook her head. I sighed and walked over with her towards the cells.
It was no secret that I truly hated Liz for everything. How did we not see it coming? She was the daughter of Agramon but who would I be if I held a grudge against her for her family is. I didn't have a functional family. My father was equally as bad as Agramon.
When we reached Liz's cell, I saw her looking up with a smile. She loved doing this. I could already feel the hatred for her increase inside of me. I couldn't stand her and I also knew that a part of her trying to kiss Alec made me dislike her even more. I was jealous of it. Even when I didn't need to be...
"Look who decided to visit me." Liz said as she looked at me. She looked tired. Her hair was messy and her clothes were a bit dirty. The clave couldn't care less about their hygiene.
"Consider yourself lucky." I said with a smile.
"Because I don't see anyone else here for you." I said and I could see the smile fading away from her face. Exactly what I needed.
I saw her looking at me angry and then her eyes railed off to something or someone that was behind me. When I looked behind me, I saw Alec and Izzy standing. Both of them looked concerned and somehow, I could see guilt and shame in their eyes. Maybe because Liz became like this... It wasn't their fault. She made the choices for herself.
"I see you brought a snack." Liz said as I turned myself around. She was looking at Alec and I could see from the glass's reflection that he was uncomfortably looking down.
"Cut yourself some slack. He is your cousin." Izzy said angrily and Liz clicked her tongue.
"Like you have feelings for Simon. Have you told Clary yet, best friend." Liz said and I could see Izzy getting angry. This is what Liz wanted. She wanted to set us up against each other or getting underneath our skin. It wasn't going to work for her this time around.
"What do you know about feelings, huh?" I asked as I looked at Liz. The only thing that kept us divided was this glass. I know that if it wasn't both of us would be flying in each other's hairs.
"Your father claims that he cares about you but then again he manages to free Jonathan but leave his own flesh and blood to rot in this cell." I said word by word as I looked at her. I could see Liz standing up. She walked towards me and banged on the glass.
"I will kill you!" She shouted with full rage. I chuckled softly.
"I would love to see you try." I said as I looked at her. A part of me wanted to fight her here and now. I wanted to end it for all and kill her but I knew that this was the dark side of me speaking. The side that Jonathan couldn't manage or the power of it. I didn't wanted to become like him... I would never.
"So Liz, tell me where Jonathan his hiding." I said and I knew that she wasn't going to give me the information just like that but it was worth a try.
"Are you delusional? Why would I tell you?" She asked as she laughed softly.
"Because if you don't, I will kill you and I will make sure it hurts." I said as I looked at her. She shook her head and laughed again.
"That's going against the clave's orders. Your boyfriend won't let you." She said as she laughed again.
"That's good that we broke up and let me tell you about the clave. I don't care." I said as I opened her cell and took out my seraph blade.
"I don't care what the clave wants because at the end of the day, they need me." I said and I could see the fear in Liz's eyes now.
"Clary, what are you doing?" Alec asked but I ignored him. I needed Liz to believe me. I held my seraph blade against her neck.
"Don't make me kill you." I said throughout my teeth as I looked at her. Liz looked angry at me and sighed.
"Nope. I won't tell you anything." She said and I looked at her sceptical.
"Is Jonathan's location more worth than your life?" I asked annoyed. Was she being serious right now?
"Why? Is Jace missing? We are always one step ahead of you. You will never win this war." Liz said and I stabbed her with my seraph blade.
"Clary!" I heard Alec shout. Liz looked beside her to look at his cousins who helplessly watched her die.
"Even if they wanted to save you, they know you are worth nothing." I said as I pulled seraph blade out of her chest. She coughed blood and collapsed on the floor.
"Where is Jonathan?" I asked again. Liz looked at me.
"Where Valentine raised him." She said with difficulty. The blood was streaming out of her mouth. I felt sorry. I felt horrible for doing this but I know that if the roles were switched, she would have killed me.
"He is in Idris." She said and I smiled.
"See. That wasn't so hard." I said as I took out my stele and activated her healing rune. She grunted out of relief.
"See you another time, best friend." I said as I left her cell. When I walked out, I saw Alec looking at me and Izzy.
"What the hell was that?" Alec asked angrily.
"I had to do what I had to do." I said and wanted to walk away but he stopped me by blocking my way.
"We don't hurt others on purpose." He said as he looked at me.
"I do." I answered angrily back.
"Then there is no difference in you or her." He said and I slapped him as hard as I could. I heard Izzy gasp.
"You don't get to judge me, Alec. You used me to get yourself a fucking promotion." I said throughout my teeth.
"At least, I hurt someone who could bring in someone that takes hundreds lives away along with my brother Jace." I said annoyed and Alec looked at me in shock.
"You are right. There is no difference between me and her." I said.
"Both of us were stupid enough to fall for a dick like you." I said in one breathe. I pushed him away and walked away.
