Jonathan's eyes gazed into mine and I couldn't tell if he was happy to see me or unhappy. He let his eyes go up and down as he stared at me. I clenched my jaw and looked at Jace who was sharing the same frustration as mine. He wanted me gone from here and I knew he was angry at me for even trying to interfere in this matter. I looked at Jonathan again who started walking towards me.
"Stay there!" I shouted and put my seraph blade up to defend myself. Jonathan stopped walking and looked at me in surprise. He chuckled softly and shook his head slightly. I frowned and kept on staring at him.
"What is the matter? Are you scared, little sister?" He asked me and I looked down. I was more than just terrified but not for myself. I could easily defend myself but Jace was the one vulnerable. I never went out with anyone. Alec was there or Izzy, Liz or Jace but today I stood on my own. No one was here to help me. I looked up and stared my big brother in his eyes, and smiled.
"There will come no day that I will be scared of you, Jon." I said and Jonathan widened his eyes as he heard me speak out my words.
"Careful sister, it seems like you are growing to care for me by having nicknames for me." Jonathan said as he smiled slightly. It was unbelievable how he picked up the small things and turned it into something that wasn't there.
"Let Jace go. You want me." I said and Jonathan laughed again. I was getting more anxious by standing in front of him the whole time. I had no idea what he could do and the last time I fought with him, I almost died. I could feel myself getting more scared and I wanted to curse myself for it.
"Clary, this is a family reunion. Why don't you join us?" He asked me and I looked over at Jace who was tied to the chair. He was covered in blood and is underlip was slightly cut. Jace shook his head out of anger and looked down, and said nothing. I wanted to apologize to him but I knew he wouldn't listen.
"Family reunion? Go to hell Jonathan." I said and attacked him with the seraph blade I had in my hand. Jonathan moved away quickly and I quickly turned myself around. Jace was behind me and I managed to give him a blade so he could cut himself loose.
"Wrong decision, little sister. You see. I love you so much and I love Jace but you guys don't care about me even slightly." Jonathan said in anger and somehow it touched my heart. He was right. We neglected him. Our mother did that... This was not his fault. He wasn't broken because he wanted to. He was broken because he was made like this.
"This is not our fault brother. It was the decisions you made. You can't hold anyone responsible for it." Jace said annoyed and stood up, and stood next to me. Jace didn't even look at me and I knew that even if we got out of here unharmed he wouldn't want to speak to me.
Jonathan let out an annoyed groan and ran towards us, trying to attack us. I let out a small groan and I stabbed him in the right side of his stomach which made him take a few steps back. He looked at me in fury and I knew he would have killed me if I didn't mean something to him in his messed up way. I waited for him to act but he just stood there. For a second I would think that he was hurt that we were against him but it changed when he slit his seraph blade in my arm. I grunted and moved quickly back.
Jace looked Jonathan and let out a angry ,and loud groan before attacking Jonathan. Jonathan was quick to avoid his attempt and pushed Jace against the wall. I gasped in shock when I saw Jace falling on the ground and attacked Jonathan with my seraph blade again but all my efforts were in vain. Jonathan was much stronger than me and much faster. He chuckled softly whilst looking at me from top to toe.
