Ghost
It was a chill day and it was raining outside. Dutchess still wasn't talking to me after our fight yesterday and I personally didn't care. I could see how she felt disrespected but she wasn't my girlfriend. Besides the girl I was talking too was one someone I knew from school during my time in Tennessee. My mom and I moved up here for awhile to escape my dad when I was 10 and we lived here for a year until things cooled down in Atlanta.
I was in the living room playing 2k and smoking when I heard her coming down the stairs. I didn't pay her any attention as I continued to focus on the game.
"Hey Ghost, can we talk I don't like this weird energy between us," she said.
I paused the game and looked at her.
"Wassup," I said.
"I apologize if you felt I was disrespecting you with that guy yesterday. I didn't even call him and I threw the number away. I was just pissed cause I felt like you were disrespecting me talking to that girl after you knew how I felt about you," she said.
I really wasn't in the mood or the right state of mind to deal with her bullshit today.
"Well I wasn't trying to disrespect you she was just someone I knew from when I use to live up here. We didn't fuck or anything if that's what you are wondering," I said.
"Okay cool well I guess I'll leave you alone," she said standing up.
"Wait... we were doing good until after we kissed. Now stuff has changed and I don't want that,"I said to her.
"Well I have nothing to lose. I like you a lot Ghost and I can't shake it. So yes I was jealous that you were speaking to her right after you friend zoned me. You've been here for me since Nasir's death and you saved my life when I tried to end it. So yeah I can't really just be friends with you, I like you too much," she said.
Since knowing her that was the first time I ever seen her be vulnerable and it slick turned me on.
"I like you a lot too but I've been in this business to long and I don't want to complicate things between us. What if we go there and things go left then what. We are still stuck in this house together," I said back.
"Okay cool I understand.... I'll let you continue your game," she said as she walked out.
I watched her as I pulled from my blunt. My head was racing but I didn't want to cross that line with her, because once it was crossed we couldn't go back.
I continued to play the game for a little longer but I couldn't ignore the tugging at my heart. I paused the game and went upstairs. I could smell the weed all the way down the hall which let me know she was smoking. I heard Summer Walker's album playing and I knew she was in her feelings. I knocked on the door and waited for her to answer.
"What do you want," she asked.
"Man open the door let's talk," I said.
"You already said enough," she said back.
I rolled my eyes she was so damn stubborn.
"Man shawty open the door," I said again this time with more authority.
I heard footsteps and soon her door opened. I walked in and sat next to her on her bed.
"I'm feeling you and I can't deny that," I said looking into her eyes.
"I'm feeling you too," she said
"I just don't want things to become complicated with us if things go left," I said
