Shoto and I gather our things as class ends.
"I think that went better than we both expected." I smile.
He chuckles. "I agree. You did really well." I wonder if 'really well' to him is just not blowing up. Whatever his definition is I'll continue to try and abide by it just to have him smile at me. It sounds quite cheesy, but my platonic relationships have been lacking for quite some time. His concern for me warms me in a non-literal sense.
"Shoto, walk her home and wait for me to get there. We'll train once I arrive." Aizawa calls after us as we walk out the door.
"Wait, I'll come too!" Kirishima catches up to us. Another friend? I knew these people were kind, but that wasn't just a formality? "If that's okay."
I smile. "Of course." Shoto no longer looks happy.
He gives me a toothy grin. "You coming Bakugo?" He looks to his friend as he approaches us.
"Yeah, whatever." He grumbles. I guess that's fine too.
"Actually if it's okay with you Hazaezal," Izuku starts, "I'd like to watch your training."
"Piss off nerd!" Bakugo waves him off like a he's pesky fly
That was really rude. I look at Izuku and smile. "Yeah that's fine. And please call me Haze."
He panics. "You're right, you said that earlier and I forgot. I'm sorry!"
I hold my hands up. "Whoa, its cool. No big deal." He takes a breath. "It'll be nice having others there in case I lose it or something." I chuckle and no one returns my reaction. I clear my throat. "Anyway, lets go." We start to leave when Aizawa speaks.
"Bakugo, keep that temper in check, or else." He warns the boy.
Bakugo grumbles even more and I let out a chuckle as we keep walking. At least I can assume this attitude isn't fully because of me.
"So how do you like it here?" Kirishima asks as we walk to the exit.
"It's really nice here so far. Everyone seems to be really friendly and welcoming. Except for maybe that boy with the purple balls on his head. He seemed pretty out of it the whole time." I recall. When we all went to sit down, Shoji picked up a small boy that was slumped against the wall and put him in a seat. For a while I thought he was asleep.
He laughs. "Yeah that's Mineta. He was ogling at you during the video and Bakugo set him straight. A little violent but with good intention." Oh, gross.
"Right, my quirk tends to destroy my clothes. Maybe I should use that as a motivator for gaining control. Anyway, thank you for that." I turn to Bakugo.
He shrugs. "It's no big deal. Kid's a creep."
"It's a good thing he wasn't awake when you got there." Shoto adds. He's right. If that kid really lacks as much restraint as they say they do, he'd probably be cooked to a crisp by now.
We walk in silence, no one really sure what to say next. We walk along the path towards the house.
"So, Mr. Aizawa says you were pretty high up in your class ranks before you left." Bakugo says breaking the silence.
I shrug. "I suppose so. When I'm in control, my quirk can be pretty powerful. I know how to use it but with the wrong mindset I don't know how to stop."
"Well just so you know I plan on being the number one hero and being the top of this class. So don't think you can come in here with your complicated quirk and try and beat me." He sounds so serious. Ambitious, but he also just sounds like an ass.
