"LOOK ALIVE!" Endeavor screams, making me drop my water. He's exhausted us yet again. My body temperate is high and it's becoming difficult to bring it down again. I used to get like this back at Dorsey. They would just blast me with a fire hose until I was knocked unconscious.

He tosses me a bag of ice, it begins to melt almost instantly.

"Quickly, put it on your chest and abdomen area."

I do as I'm told and while it doesn't feel cold in the slightest, it is helping.

"Thank you, sir." I say holding it to my chest. He gives me a side eye before looking out the window. I know, I know. I'm still kissing ass, but seeing as I don't trust myself to go out on my own, I have to try to find every opportunity to stroke Endeavor's ego so he'll take me out for patrol.

"We're going to Hosu tonight. The past two days I have trained you and denied all stimulation from the outside. Do not make me regret this."

"You want to go after the Hero Killer." Todoroki chimes in. He still won't talk to me. His blows have definitely improved as I imagine he is hoping they will actually hurt me, but he refuses to even look me in the eye.

"Yes. He's going to strike again and I want to be there before he does."

He's right. The Hero Killer has been a major fear for both heroes and citizens alike. There's no doubt in anyone's mind that he isn't finished yet. For someone to be so ruthless and so bold, he is a force to be reckoned with.

"Do you think he's with the League?" I ask, tossing the bag of lukewarm water in the trash.

"No." He says. "The League has a very specific goal, the end of the symbol of peace. The Hero Killer hasn't targeted All Might, at least not yet." He turns back to us. "Clean yourselves up and meet me at the car in five minutes. It's going to be a long night." He exits the room leaving me and Shoto.

"Are you ready for this?" I ask, trying to make conversation.

He scoffs. "Of course."

I sigh and approach him. "Shoto, how long are you going to be like this?"

He narrows his eyes at me and gets in my face. "Like what? Like focusing on my training? Like not letting myself get distracted by you?"

I throw my hands up in frustration. "What do you mean? I have never tried to distract you! I've only ever tried to be your friend, even though you've always acted like you were better than everyone."

"Because I am!" He raises his voice at me. His words almost mimicking Bakugo's. "The fact that you don't see that is insulting. I do everything right! I'm the top of every class! I'm a great fighter! And still, he sees me as weak!" His eyes start to water.

I instantly cup his face and press my forehead to his. I hate seeing him so distraught. It isn't a common sight, so I know he's hurting.

"You're not. You're amaz-,"

He shoves me roughly away from him. Enough force to make me fall on my ass. It caught me so off guard it didn't even allow my reflexes to kick in.

"I don't need your pity." He snaps, quickly wiping his face before exiting the room.

I'm shocked. He's never laid his hands on me like that before, not unless we were training. It hurt, not physically, but it hurt. I felt like I couldn't move. I just sat there as my emotions battled out which would get to dominate, rage or sorrow.

"HAZAEZAL!" Endeavor screams. "MOVE YOUR ASS!"

I swallow the lump in my throat and stand, my knuckles white as I try to keep myself from coming undone.
