Full Psycho

BAKUGO'S POV
We waited at the entrance for All Might to announce the start.

"Listen, I've fought Haze before, so maybe I should take the lead on this." He offers.

I laugh. "You fought her for what, five seconds? And you lost." I remind him. I'm not going to sit second fiddle to this recommended brat.

He scoffs. "And you fought Midoriya, a scared child who doesn't even know how to use his quirk."

I can feel my forehead tense and my jaw lock up. "LISTEN HERE ASS-,"

"Begin!" All Might's voice booms through the speakers.

We both enter without another word and he stops.

I roll my eyes. "Thinking about freezing the building again? That'll stop her." I cross my arms.

"I could freeze it and then she'd melt it. There'd be puddles everywhere." He starts.

"Except where it was hottest. By her, it'll be completely evaporated." Huh, not bad two-face.

"Exactly. Take a few steps back." He warns. I groan in annoyance, but do it anyway. He's a real asshole, but there's a reason he got here on a recommendation. He takes a step forward as ice begins to cover every square inch. I'm freezing, but I tolerate it, not wanting to show any weakness to him.

Not seconds later the ice melts and its like a heater is blowing right in our face.

"She wants us tired and uncomfortable. We'll be off our guards. Which means she's probably near the top." I say starting to walk forward.

"If we split up, its likely one of us will have to take her on alone. We should stay together."

I push past him. "No, we split up. If one of us gets caught, the other just needs to move their ass. If we move together then she'll have us cornered, dumbass. You check the even floors." I move toward the staircase.

"You won't be able to handle her on your own." He warns.

I smirk. "It's getting pretty hot in here. I'm working up a bit of a sweat." I raise my gauntlet, casually giving him the finger. "Idiot."

I know that I'll collect a lot of sweat, meaning my blasts may not be as accurate. I could rely on the sweat on my hands until I'm ready to use the gauntlets. Only using it when I'm sure it'll land. I'll just keep my fists balled up and store the sweat in my palms.

I get to the third floor and quickly make my way through it. I'm confident she won't even be here. The floor is still wet, but it is evaporating. She's turning this building into a steam room. If I move quickly, I'll be able to find the floor she's on based on the amount of water on the floor.

I don't bother checking any rooms. I keep going up, just peeking around hall corners and then moving on. But the building is getting hotter and more humid. If I use too much energy I won't be strong enough to face her.

I can't lose again. She needs to know that I'm not ordinary. Todoroki's ice won't be enough to contain her, but my blasts could subdue her. Plus, my combat skills are pretty unmatched. But she totally freaks when touched, her guard is almost never down and her reflexes are insane. I just need to think ahead. If I do hand-to-hand, she'll most likely want to pin me. She's done it to me before, for whatever reason. She's likely to use that same move again. I just need to remember it and outsmart her.

I get to the fifth floor and there's not a drop of water on the ground. Even the walls show no signs of perspiration. She could be here or at the top.

I make my way through much more carefully than I was on the third. I stay on the defensive ready for anything.
