He raises his eyebrows at me. "Well, are you?"

I take a deep breath and nod. "I just need to find my way to U.A." I say, hopeful that he'll actually be able to help.

He crosses his arms. "Why would someone need to be at the school at this hour? Is it time for senior pranks already?" He jokes.

I'm too exhausted and defeated to laugh or give a clever retort. "I just really need to get back." I say a bit flustered.

He puts his hands up. "Hey relax kid. I'll walk you." Kid?

I shake my head in protest, not wanting to walk with a stranger. "No, I just need to a general direction."

He starts walking, ignoring me. "Well, the general direction is this way."

I run my hands through my hair stressfully. What choice do I have? Maybe he'll kill me and then I won't have to face Aizawa's wrath. I sigh and catch up walking behind him. He notices this and turns around, walking backwards.

"You got a name, kid?" He asks.

"Haze."

"Lovely to make your acquaintance." He jokes, not offering his own.

I raise my eyebrows and nod in response.

He smiles. "Not one for small talk, are you?"

"I've just had a long day." He stops walking backwards and walks next to me.

"Well, there's no better therapist than a complete stranger." He shrugs. I can't help but get more anxious as he keeps talking. I just want to go home. This was such a mistake, I can't seem to focus on anything other than the fear of getting caught and the general disappointment I have for myself seeing as I can't even find my way home all by myself.

I give as polite of a smile I can muster. "Thanks, but I'd rather just hurry home."

"Home?" He questions. "I thought you needed to get to the school."

I sigh getting more frustrated. "Well seeing as I have nowhere else to go, it is my home." I throw up my arms.

He stops in front of me putting his hands up. "Hey, whoa, Hazaezal put those away." He warns.

"How do you know my-," I start, noticing my fingertips are ignited. I feel like crying. Everything is going so wrong. I take a deep breath and put them out.

"Sorry." I say quietly.

"It's alright, kid. Trust me, I've had my fair share of bad days." He smiles kindly. I get a better look at his face for just a moment. He has these golden eyes, like actually golden.

We keep walking, not saying anything to each other for a bit.

"So why'd you pretend you didn't know who I was?" I ask finally.

He shrugs. "I couldn't decide if it would make you more uncomfortable to know that I already knew you."

"So what? Did you put a bid on me too?" I ask, trying to sound like I'm making a joke to lighten the mood.

He put his hands in his front pockets. "Nah, you were just all the buzz in the hero world for a while."

So he's a hero, that's a bit more comforting. Except...

I stop dead in my tracks. He looks at me confused.

"What's wro-,"

"Please don't tell anyone I was out here!" I cry out. "If the school found out I'd lose my internship and every other opportunity to come outside." I start to sob lightly. This is such a disaster.
