Will You? (Written 4-3-20)
I have survived fire
I have survived drought
I have been the home
to many little friends
but my time has finally come
This is my end
my leaves have been shed
for the last time
Will you miss me when I'm gone?
Will you hear me when I fall?
I hope you will and if you don't
I hope that my friends will return
and as I lay down to rot
I hope that I may become someone's fuel
and am still needed and loved
