Lucifer

These are some poems I wrote while rewatching the show Lucifer!

Is He Evil?
Was it really wrong?
All he did was punish a murderer
one that was going to get away with it
because they were smart and charismatic
because they were easy to believe
He didn't work with the legal system
but does that mean he was against it?
Both wanted that killer to be punished,
so why was it so wrong?
He just got there first

My Angel
I know that the Devil is kind
that he gets hurt by words more than any weapon
that he gets scared by people and their choices
that he can love the most damaged parts of us
even if he can't save some of that love
for himself
I know that the Devil is an angel

Devils
Why is it that people say
"The Devil made me do it"
Why can't people just take
r e s p o n s i b i l i t y
for the things they've done
The hurt they've placed on others
forced them to carry that weight
The negativity they've injected
into the world's exposed veins
while they watch it bleed out
Maybe they're telling the truth
Maybe the Devil did make them do it
but they're too blind to realize
the Devil isn't just one being
that there are so many
e v e r y w h e r e
and they're all human

Punishment
They say the same thing
"The Devil made me do it"
So I'll make them pay
for always forcing the blame
down my throat, I'll make them choke

Eve of Destruction
You love me for what I am
You accept me and all my flaws
So kind
Yet you bring out the worst in me
It's so easy to fall for you
Your bright smile
Your doe brown eyes
Your bubbly laugh
Your gentle kiss
You make my heart float on golden clouds
while we destroy the world down below
And we share a light smile
as we condemn them to Hell
