A Mother's Love (Written 4-5-20)
I long for the love I used to feel
When I was only four feet tall
When I could crawl up
Into your warm arms
When stress only came from deciding
what movie we would watch together
I want to feel that way again
The way I felt when you told me
I was perfect and that nothing
Could stand in my way
When I could hold your hand
To cross the street or
Hold on tight when I was feeling weak
But now I'm almost an adult
Stressed out from endless deadlines
From applications and schoolwork
But on those worst days
I still come back to you
Even for those fleeting moments
I still come back to you

Chance (Poetry Collection)
PoetryIn 2020 amid the COVID-19 quarantine, I started writing poetry again. These are the chances I took to connect with others through simple gatherings of words even if we couldn't gather in public. [March 14 - PRESENT]
