Chapter Two
"Kumusta naman ang clinic these past few days?" I asked Drei over the phone.
"It's going well. Just the same. Patients going here, me checking them up. Everyday routine."
"Hindi ko na natututukan ang clinic. I've been very busy." Bumuntong-hininga ako.
I'm always busy. But these past days, it doubled. Dumami ang cases na kinakailangan ng operation, and I've been requested ng pamilya ng mga pasyenteng kailangan operahan.
"It's fine bro. Everything's fine. You don't have to worry."
"By the way, is Sean there?" Tanong ko nang maalala na ibabalik ko sa kaniya 'yung notebook.
"Well, she's not here."
"What? Why? She's supposed to help you on the clinic."
"Her best friend got into an emergency daw, e. I just allowed her, wala rin namang gaanong pasyente ngayon since it's Monday."
"Hindi man lang nagpaalam sa'kin? Tsh. " I whispered.
"Sorry, bro. Hindi ko naman alam na magpapaalam pala siya dapat sa'yo. Wait I'll call her."
He got her number? Ako ngang boss niya hindi alam 'yung number niya.
Teka, why I'm acting like a jealous boyfriend?
"Don't bother. It's fine."
"Okay. Wait I gotta put the call down, there's a patient already."
And then the line went dead.
While I'm leaning on my chair, tinititigan ko pa rin ang notebook.
Paano ko ba 'to ibabalik?
What if I just drop it off on the clinic?
Why would I make that effort? Kung kailangan niya talaga 'to e 'di kunin niya sa'kin.
Pero hindi nga niya alam na nasa 'yo.
Unattended naman kasi 'yung binigay niyang number doon sa diary. I've called it times already, walang sumasagot.
Kaya nga tinawagan ko si Drei to check on her kaso wala naman pala siya sa clinic.
This is really frustrating.
Would she mind if... I read the next pages?
I mean, it's no biggie right?
It's just her adventures, yeah something like that.

Day 9 of being an almost doctor
1 Corinthians 12:1
Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.Nakakatawa.
I'm just doing my job. Then, this.
Kagagaling ko lang sa simbahan, saying to the Lord that I know everything that's happening has a reason.
Ilang beses akong nasampal, napahiya at nasaktan.
I was molested by my boss. Hinalikan niya 'ko, at nakita kami no'ng fiancé niya.
