'Oh fuck off, fucking alarm.' I snap when my alarm rings after I hit the snooze bar for the fifth time. I hit the exact same button for the sixth time.
After a few seconds, my phone rings.
'What the actual fuck?' I mutter irritated, taking my phone off my desk. I see it's Louis, and pick up the phone.'What the fuck do you want, wanker?' I say through the speaker before Louis gets the chance to say anything.
'I want you to stop snoozing that alarm and get your arse out of bed. We're leaving in thirty minutes.' Louis answers, making me sit straight in my bed within a second.'Thirty minutes won't be enough.' I protest, getting out of my bed and opening the curtains.
'I don't give a damn, Olivia. We gotta catch our flight.' Louis answers strictly. I refuse to say anything back, so I hang up the phone.*
'Jeez, finally! Maddie's waiting at the door.' Louis says when I rush downstairs with my baggage. I rush towards the door and open it.
'Let me guess, you snoozed your alarm for the sixth time, then Louis called you even though you're in the same house to tell you you had to get out of your bed because you were leaving in thirty minutes.' Maddie empathizes.
'Um, that sounds about right. Hold on, my parents wanna do their first goodbye round before we leave for the airport. You wanna come in?' I answer, getting out of the doorway so that Maddie can get in. She nods and steps inside the house. I get back to my parents.'Mum, dad, I'll miss you.' I say.
'No, you won't.' Dad answers teasingly.
'Yes, I will!' I protest before hugging him.
'I'll miss you too.' Dad says, and I release him to hug mum.'I love you, mum. I'll make sure Louis doesn't do anything stupid.' I say while I hug her.
'I believe it's more like the other way around, but alright.' Louis comments while I release mum.'I'll miss you too, honey. Please don't do anything stupid you'll regret later. Louis will be there the entire time. I love you. Promise me to call us every evening at 8PM.' Mum says.
'Yes, I will call you. How come Louis doesn't get this talk and I do?' I ask.'Oh, honey. You're only sixteen and you're a girl! You're so young and vulnerable. You may not realize it now, but you will later- You're very pretty and can attract literally any guy, and sometimes, those guys don't have good intentions and they hurt you. Louis is an eighteen year old guy, and that automatically makes him less vulnerable. He's the only reason why I let you go on this trip.' Mum explains.
'Mum, nothing bad will happen to me.' I say, hugging her again.'Alright, my turn.' Louis says after a few seconds, pulling me away from mum to hug her himself.
'Let's move.' I say to Maddie, walking back to the front door where my baggage is.
'Where are your sisters?' Maddie asks while we carry our baggage to my dad's car.
'Asleep.' I answer, shoving my suitcase in the back of the car.
'Aw, that's too bad. They're the cutest thing ever.' Maddie says, copying my example.'Liv, I'm so excited, I can't breathe!' Maddie suddenly whimpers in excitement, hugging me.
'Mads, I'm even more excited, imagine how long we've waited to go on a trip together! Of course it's less fun that we're going with my brother and his friends, but still!' I answer just as excited, hugging her tighter.'I know, right! I'm gonna miss David, though.' Maddie says, slowly releasing me.
'Aw. I'll make sure you don't even have the time to think about him. But you can call him every evening at 8PM, that's when I have to call my parents.' I suggest.
'That's not even such a bad idea. I'll text that to him.' Maddie says, regaining her excitement.
We get inside the car, babbling about everything that's about to happen.*
After a thirty minute drive, the second goodbye round of my parents, and having gone through security, Louis, Maddie and I get to our gate. The others aren't there yet.
'We're boarding in five minutes. Where the hell are they?' Louis says.
'I dunno. Mads, let's spray perfume. Come on!' I answer, unable to hide my excitement. I pull Maddie towards the perfume shop a few meters away from the gate.'I bet Louis' gonna leave us behind because he's too embarrassed of us.' Maddie says, examining the different kinds of perfumes on the display.
'I really hope he's not that insane. He should just let us be excited.' I answer, picking up a rose colored perfume bottle off the display.'This one's pretty good, what do you think?' I ask, holding the bottle towards Maddie.
'Yeah, it's good. Oh, boy, smell this one!' Maddie exclaims after smelling a yellow colored perfume. I smell it, and get surprised by the most amazing smell ever.'Holy mother of god! Give it.' I say, snatching the bottle out of her hands and spraying it on my neck. I give it back to her for her to do the same.
'How expensive is it? I wanna have it.' Maddie wonders, examining the different prices.
'It's 300 pounds.' I say, pointing at the right one.
'Oh, Jeez. Never mind.' Maddie sighs disappointedly, putting the bottle back on the display.'Oh, look, the others are there.' I say after glancing at the gate.
'The board says we're already boarding.' Maddie comments, pointing at the board above the gave, which says boarding now.
'Then why isn't the line moving? It doesn't matter, let's go.' I say and I walk out of the shop and stand in line. I get my ticket and passport out of my little purse. We're traveling handsfree, we dropped the heavy suitcases off at the check-in.'Maddie, what number was your seat again?' I ask, examining my seat number.
'Um, hold on. I got it, um, 12A. Ow, window seat! Fancy. Then you must have 12B, am I right?' Maddie answers.
'Um, no, I have 15A... I'll be right back.' I mutter before skipping lots of people standing in line to get to my brother.
