'Folks, this is the nearest hotel to the airport. Is it good enough?' The taxi driver asks after a few minutes of drop-dead silence.
And of course you can only look at the hotel through Harry's window. God loves me.
With my heart pounding heavily in nervousness, I move myself closer to Harry to look out of his window. He looks at me after a few seconds, and I look back.
'Yes?' He asks quietly.
'Sure.' I answer.
'It's good enough.' Harry says to the taxi driver while I move away from him, taking out my credit card.'It's okay, milady. This one's on me.' The taxi driver says when he sees me taking my credit card. I look at him, and see he has a pitying look in his eyes.
The driver probably heard me telling Harry I loved him, and noticed Harry didn't say it back. Now the driver pities me. Great.
'But I wanna pay.' I say.
'No, I insist you don't. It's okay, really. You're good kids.' The driver answers.
'Are you sure, sir? Not even a tip?' I ask.
'I'm not taking any money from you kids. Now get outta my cab, I got other customers.' The driver answers.'Thanks a lot, sir.' Harry says before getting out of the taxi. The driver turns himself around in his seat to look at me.
'Don't worry, milady. He'll say it back.' He speaks then.
'Oh, um- of course. Um, thank you, and um- have a good day.' I stutter back.
'Good day to you too, milady.' The driver answers. I nod once and get out of the taxi. The driver holds his hand up as a wave and then drives away. I hesitantly look at Harry, who was already looking at me.'Um, shall we?' He asks awkwardly.
'Y-Yes.' I stutter. He gives me a little shy smile before walking towards the entry of the hotel. I quickly follow him. He opens the door and stands still.'After you.' He speaks then.
'Such a gentleman.' I comment, feeling a little smile sneaking up around my lips.'Um, we'd like a room.' I speak up once we're at the lobby. The woman behind the desk looks at us.
'Single or double beds?' She asks, an unnecessary arrogant look on her face.
'D-Double.' I stutter awkwardly, Harry clearing his throat nervously.'That's possible. One night?' The woman asks.
'Yes.' I answer.
'Names?' The woman continues.
'Um, Olivia Tommy and-'
'Harry Steward.' Harry answers before I can finish. The woman writes down the names. We can't risk people recognizing Harry's name or my last name. It will only cause more questions from paparazzi and fans if they find out Harry and I are checking in at the same hotel.
'Alright.' The woman says while standing up from behind her desk and taking a key.
'Room's on the key. We have room service, but no restaurant. More information is on the flyer inside the room.' She informs us without any specific facial expression. The tone in her voice is like a robot- neutral and emotionless.
'Okay, thanks.' Harry answers, taking the key from her.
'Have a good day.' I tell politely, but the woman ignores me. I scoff soundless.'So much for good customer service.' Harry comments quietly so that the woman doesn't hear.
'Yes, Jeez.' I mutter, glancing at the woman behind the desk once more. It's like she doesn't even know that we're here.
'Um, I think we're in room 107.' Harry says while looking at the key with his eyes narrowed since the letters are really small. I take the key out of his hand and examine the letters myself.
'I think it says 109.' I speak then.
'Should we ask?' Harry asks quietly.
'No, she's rude.' I answer.
'True.' Harry agrees. He gently grabs my hand while walking to the stairs that probably lead to the rooms.
