Chapter 27
A week had passed since my sister's wedding, and admired how sincere their relationship was. I just got home from school, and I witness the two of them being so sweet in the living room.
Kuya's caressing Ate Mavis' baby bump. He's so focused on what he's doing that he became oblivious to Ate's affectionate stare.
I announced my arrival and walked near them. I greeted Kuya Kenrich and hugged Ate Mavis. Nauna na silang kumain, at hindi ko rin naman sila masisisi dahil nakasanayan na nina Ate na maagang naghahapunan.
Dumiretso ako sa dining area para kumain. Kuya Kenrich's a good cook, he knows a lot of dishes and it's undeniably delicious. Nauna akong umuwi kay Clajj dahil may night class pa sila, at mamaya na ako tatawag baka maistorbo ko siya sa klase niya.
"Nach, lalaki ang magiging anak namin! May magandang pangalan ka ba na pwedeng i-suggest?" Tanong ni Ate at ramdam ko ang excitement sa boses niya.
Natawa ako bago lumapit sa kanila. May mga pangalan nang nakasulat sa notebook, siguro ay kanina pa sila nagpaplano. I scanned the names and it took me full minute before finally arriving with good name combination then pointed it.
"Haynes Jolivet Lefevre would be nice, Ate." I uttered with affirmation.
She squealed and grinned ear to ear. "Oh, Nachi! I didn't know you were good at this."
I just smiled and excused myself to go upstairs since I feel so exhausted throughout the day. Maybe it's because of the academic workload on my plate. We had quizzes on Organizational and Management, and in FABM 1, then the unfinished position paper on my core subject.
Nang makarating ako sa kwarto ay inilapag ko ang bag sa study table at hinubad ang uniporme para mag-half bath. After the quick half bath and wearing comfortable clothes, I got seduced by my bed, and the next thing I knew, I was cradled to sleep.
Naalimpungatan ako nang may marinig na impit na sigaw. Napailing ako kasi nakasanayan ko nang makarinig no'n dahil palaging nagmo-movie marathon sina Ate na puro horror. I tried changing my position yet no to avail, and my senses are fully awaken. I rose from the bed and rubbed my eyes to remove the sleep if ever.
My eyes automatically looked for my phone and curiosity crept into me after seeing few missed calls from Clajj. Did he call to inform us that he's already home? Well, he should have texted because I will happen to see it?
I checked the time and after knowing that it's already late, I dialed his number and to my luck, he answered after two rings.
"Hey hon! Sorry, I missed your calls." I calmly spoke, and I was a little disappointed after hearing a familiar voice that I know one of the twins owned.
"Uh, Ate Sienna. Napatawag ka?"
"Marami kasing missed calls ang Kuya mo sa akin. I'm just curious. What's up? Where's your Kuya?"
Medyo nailang ako dahil ni minsan kapag tumatawag ako, siya talaga ang sumasagot kahit gaano pa siya ka-busy.
"I think Fiadh was the one who called you earlier. Kuya's already resting, and I happened to pick them up because he can't. He's got beaten up by some strangers, so I don't think you'll see him in school tomorrow."
