Chapter 34
I wore a black dress in a deep V neckline. It's a mid-thigh length and fits on my waist part, showing my curve. I paired it with my silver ankle strap stilletos and applied minimal make-up on my face.
I know it's a simple dinner and usual thing for the three of us to do back in Manila. But I wanted to look presentable, not for everyone to see, but for myself.
Tinignan ko ang sarili sa life-size miror bago lumabas ng kwarto nang mapansing may nakaparadang kotse aa tapat ng bahay, siguradong si Rojas na 'yon.
"As always, you look beautiful! Bakit kaya wala ka paring afam kahit marami kang nakakasagupa sa field mo?" Salubong ni Rojas nang tuluyan akong makalabas ng bahay.
"Walang persistent. Baka meant akong maging rich tita, bawi nalang ako next life." Natatawa kong sagot at pinagbuksan niya ako ng pinto habang natatawa.
"May irereto ako sa'yo kung gusto mo. High maintenance kang tao, at mataas pa ang standards, pero sure ball, pasok 'tong ise-set up ko sa'yo."
"Remember the last time you set me up with? Kulang nalang sugar daddy na ang kalalabasan niya." Paalala ko nang makapasok na ng kotse.
"Okay lang 'yan, at least ikaw naman ang sugar mommy namin ni Rafus." Natatawa niyang sabi
Hindi ako makatanggi dahil totoo naman, at kapag pumupunta ako sa ibang bansa, makalimutan ko na ang lahat, huwag lang ang hindi sila bilhan ng pasalubong.
Rojas ang I talked about random stuff the whole ride. Nakarating kami sa Halcyon Escape and Escapade, at sumakay sa elevator papunta sa 3rd floor dahil doon ang Fine Dining.
A sweet smile immediately registered on my face by the sight of Rafus, who's waiting for us in the table. He's wearing a button-up where sleeves are folded up to his elbow and black jeans.
I hurriedly walked towards him for a hug, and he ushered me to sit beside him. Obviously, I always sit between the two of them, even in any activity where three of us are involved. Both of them were gentlemen, and Rafus' always soft towards me, but Rojas? Once I'll smack him, he'll also smack me in return.
Hinayaan ko silang dalawa na mag-order kasi simula pa naman siguro noon, palagi na silang nalalagi dito. I know that Hrist's older brother owns this. So far, itong Halcyon Escape and Escapade ay dinayo ng karamihan.
"Na-miss niyo talaga siguro ako, ano? Grabe, I feel loved!" I teased and lightly poked their sides. "Hanapin niyo na kasi ang mga runaway lover niyo para hindi na kayo malungkot."
"Ikaw na talaga iyong nang-iwan." Tukso ni Rojas, at napatahimik ako. Damn, that's a low blow!
"Hoy, naglolokohan lang naman tayo, bakit pinipersonal mo na ako?" Natatawa kong sabi, at pabirong sinuntok ang balikat niya. "Sensible ang rason ng pag-alis ko, at hindi naman ganoon ka dali 'yon. Depende naman kasi sa sitwasyon 'yon. Even leaving is an art of loving, you know!"
May hugot si Rojas, alam ko naman 'yon. But it's his fault why she left!
Damn, love! It could be labeled as poison, but we would drink it anyway. That is how stupid we were when it came to this field!
"Shoot, Rafus! I think we're choosing an early death!" Rojas' muttered. Nagkatinginan silang pareho at sabay na tumingin sa isang direksyon.
