Clare text me on Tuesday night to let me know that I'll be starting at 9am this morning, at the headquarters, and that Larissa will be waiting for me at the front doors.
Which is why it's currently 8am and I'm mulling over what I'm supposed to wear as a third year college journalism intern. I opt on wearing my usual natural make up, while letting my hair flow down my back in loose curls. For my outfit, I go for a mixture of professionalism and young.
I've just pulled up outside the headquarters when I get a message from Theo.
Theo: I'm parked two cars to your right, I'll take the brother today.
I glance over at where he claims to be, and as Theo said, he's two cars away from me, smirking at me through the windows. I throw him a wink before responding.
Me: I'll take the high school sweetheart and hopefully we'll crack them.
When it's finally time to get out of my car and actually get to work, I see Larissa standing inside the glass doors. She's wearing a black dress that goes just below her knees.
"Larissa Reed?" I walk up to her, feigning a look of confusion to make myself look lost.
"That's me."
"Oh great, I'm Olivia, the third year student doing an internship here."
"Oh the journalist." She gives me a polite smile. "It's lovely to meet you."
"Likewise."
After a few minutes of Larissa describing what they do here at Bishop HQ, she directs me to the top floor.
"If you haven't already guessed this is the floor you'll be on, along with the leading directors, writers and owners."
Just then a guy, who fits the profile of Max Bishop walks out of the elevator, and following close behind him is Theo, dressed to perfection in a black suit that fits him in all the right places.
Snap out of it, you're undercover remember, not to mention his partner.
"I hope you don't mind me asking," I say in the most shy and subtle way possible "but I never seen that guy when I read up about this place?"
Larissa nods understandingly, hopefully falling for my act. "There was an incident here around a month ago," Her voice goes low, almost like she's still not over it "that's Theo, a professional business owner from Manchester in the UK, he's our replacement."
