Friday came around before I knew it. Jake and I have been talking briefly at work but he's been pretty busy meanwhile I've been bored senseless. I glance in the mirror one last time, not surprisingly Jake and I had decided on meeting in Harry's at nine. I opted on wearing a red off the shoulder crop top with a dainty denim skirt. My long wavy hair is pulled up into a tight ponytail and I'm wearing minimal make up.

"Hey

"Hey." I walk up to the bar where Jake is sitting a little after nine. "Sorry I'm late, I couldn't find my car keys."

Jake laughs. "Why am I not surprised?"

I shrug and order my drink when the bartender walks towards me. "So how was your day?"

"Oh you know the usual, Clare ordering me around." He looks towards me with a smirk on his face. "She even emailed me the policies of working for our agency and highlighted the one that said no colleague relationships."

I laugh and thank the bartender when he places my drink on front of me. "I'd like to say I'm surprised but I'm not."

"Tell me about it, doesn't she know I'm gay."

I go into a coughing fit from almost choking on my drink. "You like boys?"

Jake laughs. "You didn't know?" He sobers up and his face suddenly becomes serious. "Wait you didn't think this was a date, did you?"

"God no! You're hot but not my type." I grin.

"Ditto."

"So have you got a boyfriend?" I take another sip of my drink.

Jake shakes his head. "I wish, there is this guy I like but I haven't made a move yet."

"You should." I smile but it fades when my attention focuses on the front door. Blondie walks in wearing a red dress that's acting like a second skin, her fingers interlaced with Theo's who glances over towards us.

"What's up?" I snap my attention back to Jake who turns around to see what I'm looking at. "Oh."

I roll my eyes. Blondie takes a seat in one of the booths facing towards Jake and I, while Theo slides in beside her wrapping his arm around her waist.

"You should probably stop torturing yourself." Jake whispers watching me take a large gulp of my drink when they start making out.

I turn back towards him and raise a questioning eyebrow. "Torturing myself?"

Jake nods. "Staring over there isn't going to make yourself feel any better."

I scoff but take his advice and don't look over. "I don't need to feel better.... I don't care."

Jake raises an eyebrow and looks like he's trying not to smile. I scowl. "What?"

"You're going to pretend your totally unbothered that Theo has a girlfriend."
