"So have you got the last minute details sorted yet?" Tammy walks up to me as I leave the office. "Because I hate to remind you but the party's tonight."
I give her my best 'are you kidding me look'. "Of course I've got everything ready, I'm the queen of punctuality."
Tammy rolls her eyes, laughing. "So why were you late for girls night, Wednesday?"
"My fault." Theo chimes in, falling into step beside us. "So what are we talking about? The weather, work, Olive's new perfume, my surprise party?"
I give him a suspicious look, deciding whether or not Theo's playing me or if he really knows about the party. My conclusion being he knows about the party. "Seriously? How did you find out?"
Theo shrugs. "I knew almost straight away, you may be good undercover but your poker face is terrible in real life. I was planning on pretending that I didn't know but you can read me just as good, so you'd find out eventually."
A sigh of relief slips from my lips and when both Theo and Tammy throw confused looks my way I elaborate. "I mean planning it while keeping it a secret was hard, getting you there without you realising is as good as impossible."
Tammy shakes her head. "You two confuse me."
Both Theo and I laugh at her expression. "Well now that birthday boy here knows about the party, we'll see you later?"
"You betcha."
Theo turns to me once Tammy leaves, a smirk evident on his face. "So what are you wearing to said party?
I hum. "You should be more concerned about what I'm wearing after."
"Or we could skip the party, make a night of it at my place."
I grin and start walking towards the elevator. "No chance. Do you know how much effort it is to plan a party?"

"How do I look?" I step out of my room and do a little twirl. I'm wearing a black bodycon dress, with my hair tied up in a sleek ponytail and I'm wearing natural makeup.
Theo smirks. "Yummy."
I roll my eyes, grinning like a fool. "You're such an idiot."
"Your idiot though."
I take a few seconds to let my eyes scan his attire.... and who am I kidding, physique. "You look good." I admire the way the sandy coloured top suits the black trousers he's wearing, and also how the denim jacket brings out the golden tone to his skin.
"You sure you don't want to skip the party, jump straight into the part that comes after."
I sit down and rest my head on his chest. "Let's just show our faces, we don't have to stay long."
"Thanks by the way." He runs his hand over my cheek. "You didn't have to go to so much effort for me."
I shrug. "I really appreciate what you done for me at work and everything, so this is the least I could've done."
Theo leans down, connecting our lips in a brief yet passionate kiss. "Let's go, better not keep our guests waiting."
I glance at myself in the mirror one last time to make sure my hair and makeup is still intact. After a quick game of Rock Paper Scissors to decide who's driving, I hop into the drivers seat.
I glance at Theo once I pull up outside Harry's. "You ready to act surprised? Tammy said she wouldn't tell anyone you found out."
Theo gives me his best shocked face. "That work?"
