I huff and glance at myself in the mirror one last time. Tammy has just left after informing that I shouldn't be pissed at Theo because he's just looking out for me and she also mentioned that I should have told her about what happened.
Obviously after being confronted for the third time I decided it was time to just tell the truth.
"Olivia, what happened in there?" Tammy had asked after sitting across from me on the sofa. Her face had morphed from a disappointed one to a sympathetic one which is exactly what I didn't want and why I didn't tell anyone.
I sighed. "Nothing major happened, I had just found Darcy when Hail found me."
"Did he make you?" She gasped.
I shook my head. "Thankfully no which is why I got the burns instead of being killed."
"Why didn't you tell us?"
"Because I didn't want to sound weak." I shrugged. "And I got out of there, besides people have went through a lot worse, Darcy included."
"But that doesn't take away from what you went through." She grabbed my hand soothingly. "And please don't kill Theo, he really did just want to help."
I laughed but it wasn't the chirpy kind. "He told me he'd stay out of it."
"Then go fight it out with him." She told me. "I'll text you his address."
Which is why I'm now glancing at my outfit in the mirror. I mean what does someone wear to theoretically murder someone? I opted for a comfortable yellow casual set.
I can look good while being pisser and there's really no point in hiding the scars now.
I type the address Tammy sent me into my gps. I could've easily gotten Theo's address on file but this option was quicker. The sun has already set, the street lights illuminating the sidewalk where there are families and friends walking. Peaceful, that'd be nice.
I pull up outside Theo's apartment building less than ten minutes later. I take the elevator up to the fifth floor and knock on the door of apartment 546b. After a few seconds of glancing around the nicely decorated halls the door is pulled open. I glance towards Theo, and can't help but let my eyes snake from his head to his toes and back up. He's wearing some black sports shorts and is lacking in the shirt department.
I cross my arms and tilt my head to one side. Theo scoffs and pulls the door open. "Why don't you come in, maybe get comfortable before you take my head off, or stay here I'm sure my neighbours would love that."
