"I'm warning you Theo, you can not go back to work." The nurse gives him a stern look. "No heavy lifting, not unless you want to get yourself stuck back here." She turns her attention to me. "Don't let him, or the two of you will be on my bad list."

I grin. "Don't worry Jennifer, I'll make sure he doesn't do anything too vigorous."

Theo looks at me and juts his bottom lip out, like he's sulking. "I was kind of hoping you'd be in favour of that Agent Bennett."

"The fact that you just called me Agent Bennett, proves exactly why there will be no vigorous activities between us." I point out.

Jennifer laughs. "I'm going to miss you two brightening up my shifts."

"I can make sure he comes back if you'd like." I grin.

Theo scoffs. "Like you could take me."

"Okay Mr hobble, I'm definite I could take you."

"Sure you could." Theo responds with sarcasm evident in his voice.

"As much as I'm enjoying you two bickering, I need to do my usual farewell speech." Jennifer hands Theo his prescription. "You've only been awake a week now, you're not in the all clear just yet. In saying that, your scans have come back clear, but please for the love of god be careful." I chuckle at her lack of faith. "Your ribs are still pretty tender and any of those cuts could pop open if you decide to go against my rules."

"I understand, thank you Jennifer." Theo nods in appreciation.

"Thanks Jennifer." I grin.

"I should be thanking you guys, you really did make my shifts." She smiles. "Now get out of here, while you have the chance."

"So where do you wanna go?" Theo asks as we walk towards my car, which I thankfully managed to get the dent out of.

I pull open the door to the drivers side, an argument we had last night about who's driving coming to mind. I laugh. "I'm pretty sure the recommendation would be that you go straight home, while on bed rest."

"Are you inviting yourself?" He grins.

I roll my eyes, willing myself not to laugh. "You're impossible."

"Let's go for food."

I check left and right before driving out of the parking lot. "Only because I'm starving, otherwise I'd be forcing you to go home."

Theo laughs. A few minutes later we pull up outside a local restaurant, that I've only been to a handful of times since I got here.

"Oh hey Theo." The waitress smiles. "It's great to see you back on your feet after everything, table for two?"

"That'd be great, thanks Ashley."

Ashley directs us to our table and after taking our drink orders, leaves us to decide what we're eating.

"What are you getting?" I ask, as I glance at my menu.

"I'm thinking the steak, you?"

"I'm thinking a burger." I put my menu down. "So how are you feeling?"

Theo laughs, doing the same with his own menu. "Like I've been hit by a truck a few times, but I'll be alright."

Ashley leaves our drinks in front of us, before taking our orders. "You had us all fooled with your girlfriend." She says, while picking up our menus.

Theo laughs. "I must've been doing my job right, in that case."

"What about you Olivia, did you figure it out?" She turns to me, a polite smile on her face, telling me she doesn't realise it's a touchy subject.
