Chapter Twenty: Love Choir

Maluwang ang dibdib ko nang magpakawala ng hininga. Payapa kong binabagtas ang gubat pauwi. I didn't mind the semi-sharp things below my bare feet as I walked with ease and calmness.

Nilalamig ako, but it does not bother me and I don't care at the moment because of the lightness I'm feeling. Para akong nakalutang.

I smiled as I inhaled and momentarily stopped. I closed my eyes and let the nature that surrounds me filled my system. Naririnig ko ng maigi at klaro ang mga ibon, ang mga puno at halaman, ang mabining hampas ng alon. Ramdam ko rin ang init ng sinag ng araw na sumisilip sa siwang ng gubat.

This feeling brought me back to my younger self. The carefree one who extremely love nature and peace...I missed that girl. I missed my old self.

Napabuntong hininga ako at minulat ang mga mata at napatitig sa sumasayaw na mga dahon na nasa siit.

Twigs...

Eight years ago...

I cannot helped but smile feeling the smooth texture of the leaf I'm touching. 

"A leaf can already make you smile, huh."

Napaangat ako ng tingin mula sa dahon papunta sa lalaking nasa tabi ko. I chuckled and gently shook my head because maybe he's thinking I'm acting silly for being this simple-minded.

Little things could makes me happy.

Binitawan ko na ang dahon at pinasadahan ang hilera ng mga palumpong na siyang nagsisilbing division sa ibat-ibang parte ng eco-park na pinadalhan sa'kin ni Vince.

I never knew there's a lot of nature inspired places here in the city. Lahat ng pinagdalhan sa'kin ni Vince ay pawang mga para talaga mga nature-lover na gaya ko. I knew he spent a lot of time to search for these areas...I accidentally saw the searches he's looking when I borrowed his phone one time.

He really exerted efforts and time for me. He's really serious when he said he'll court me no matter how long it takes.

Nagpatuloy kami sa paglakad. I'm enjoying every step I make dahil bawat halaman at puno na nadadaanan namin ay nagpapasaya sa'kin. It always makes me in awe too and Vince doesn't mind tailing me.

"Pwede kang umuna, Vince. Don't wait for me." I absentmindedly said while looking up to a tall tree with red leaves.

A fire tree.

I saw him at my right. He also looked to where my eyes are.

"You know I'll always wait for you and I'm enjoying waiting for you. Take your time, love. I won't mind at all." He took my hand and squeezed it gently.

I bit my lower lip as my pumping organ flipped.

I squeezed his hand too.

Dalawang taon na niya akong nililigawan and today marks the fourth time he held my hand pwera sa mga pagkakataong aalayan niya ako pag kailangan.

Two years and his effects is still like the first time I realized I like him. It always take my breath, always affecting my heart.

"Let's go to the heart?" Mahina kong sambit saka siya nilingon.

I stopped breathing when I saw him already staring at me. I blinked and gulped.

Gosh, Vince.

Mataman itong nakatitig at parang wala sa sariling umangat ang isang kamay nito at hinaplos ang pisngi ko.
