Having an eating disorder is technically self harm. You're deliberately skipping meals/throwing up/binge eating to either cause yourself more pain, distract yourself from the pain or to make yourself feel "better".
Self harm is the same.
Yet people don't seem to make these connections!
The human body can survive for six weeks without eating anything.
The human body can last three days without drinking anything.
If you binge eat you could develop life-threatening problems.
If you have an eating disorder, it is self harm and you could die.
Don't die.
If you can't think of a reason to live, think of me. I'll be your reason. I need you.
Don't skip meals today.
Don't over eat.
Don't purge.
Just try maybe eating just a little bit, laying down and just breathing.
You don't need to throw up. You don't need to stuff yourself with more to avoid the pain.
You just need to breath.
You will be okay. It is okay not to be okay, don't punish yourself for it.
That feeling of guilt will leave eventually.
If you can do it, I'll be proud of you.
I'll be proud of you even if you slip up.
I'm here.
I know it won't be easy, but I also know that you can do it.
Eating disorder's like self harm, but you can still get through it.
