It's easy to make a promise.
It's easy to believe that the promise you made will be kept.
But nobody can predict the future.
Circumstances may change. The promise might seem difficult to keep. It might even be forgotten.
At least, it might have been forgotten by the person who made it.
Will the person who the promise was made to have forgotten? Unlikely.
Once that promise is broken, so is their trust.
Trust is valuable and hard to earn back.
You will probably make a promise full of good intentions.
But the reality isn't that simple.
Promises are like holes, most of them started out life full yet still turn out to be empty...
