Mending Pains

Izuku, Ochako, Yaoyorozu, and Todoroki started walking into the city with Yaoyorozu looking a little dead. The reality of her family's life is ruined beyond repair hit her like a brick. Izuku took note of this and elbowed Todoroki to try and get her to speak. "So uh, what do you wanna do?" "...Anything's fine. Not like it matters." Yaoyorozu said this in an emotionless state that sent a chill down everyone's spine. The normally stoic and kind vice rep of the class is now almost completely dead inside. "Would you like to sit down?" Todoroki motioned to a park with the four of them going there. Yaoyorozu began to lean down and stare at the dirt with immense depression in her. 'It's never easy with this Shoto. You may want to try saying something happy to her.' Todoroki was told this through a telepathic communication by Izuku with him trying to say something positive.

"Uhh, nice day today if anything?" The couple beside them facepalmed with Yaoyorozu nodding. Ochako noticed a food stand with everyone not eating much and went over to it. She brought Todoroki with her to try and talk some sense into him for helping mend a heart advice to leave Izuku and Yaoyorozu alone. There was silence until Izuku spoke up first. "When I was little, I ran away from home. I felt like my mom gave birth to me because she wanted part of my father to suffer, so I decided to run away. All I could remember during that night was a bad rainstorm that happened. I was able to find comfort in an alley, but some thugs were there ready to hurt me. When they were ready to attack, my mom came in to grab me and run."

This story surprised the pregnant creation user. "I found out later that she came out and looked for me during the storm. If it wasn't for her, I may not be here today." "Why did she do this?" "Because she loved me. She loved me so much that she didn't care that she got very sick from trying to find me in the rain and was willing to do anything just to know I was safe." Izuku let a sigh out before continuing. "What I'm trying to say is, your family may be broken, but that doesn't mean you can't still have some kind of family life. Your mother is just as confused and uncertain as you are. She married the person, but she needs you now more than ever." Izuku pointed to Yaoyorozu's stomach. "That kid needs you now more than ever." Yaoyorozu looked down and hugged her torso. "Thanks." "...Side note, Todoroki really likes you. He wanted to help you today because of that. He isn't the best to offer help but he's trying." This comment surprised Yaoyorozu with her nodding.

Meanwhile, with Ochako and Todoroki

"Are you trying to help her or make her want to cry!?" Ochako starts karate chopping Todoroki's head with him looking down a little. "Sorry. I'm not good at these things." "*sigh* I guess it shouldn't surprise me that someone that's as emotionally distant as you can't do this, but we need you to try harder." Ochako grabbed some food the vendor gave with Todoroki paying for it. "Here's what you gotta do. What Momo needs right now is someone to rest her shoulder on and say how she feels. She lost everything she thought was true, and she just needs someone to say 'it's ok since I'll help you'." "I thought she just needed some alone time." Ochako hit Todoroki over the head with a hot dog before giving it to him. "Women are complex creatures Todoroki, take a mental note of what you find out about the one you love."

They began walking back with Todoroki surprised by Ochako's helpfulness in this. "Why do you wanna help so much? I understand she's your friend, but you seem very focused on me helping?" The gravity user stopped to answer. "I don't want this to end up like how Izuku turned out. He felt nothing but guilt for years and is finally being free from it. Before we even started to date, Izuku felt so apologetic over even the smallest things. He felt like everything that may have gone bad when me, him, and Iida hung out was his fault. I don't want that to repeat in Momo. It hurt seeing it and remembering it in Izuku, so I want her to know she can be normal like me and Izuku even with all the damage done." Todoroki nodded as they returned back with some food.
