Identity

"Who are you?"

She pulls her mask off and reveals a face astonishingly identical to mine.

"A-are you my twin?" I gasp.

She laughs. "You've been dealing with the supernatural for weeks and you managed that?"

"A past version of myself?" I guessed again.

"Closer, but still so damn far away," She clucked her tongue in disappointment.

She locks the door then walks closer to me.

"I'm you from a parallel universe," She says.

Her identical one-of-a-kind sweater and dress to mine. The way she was always whispering and trying to disguise her voice around me. Never showing me her face until today...

"What? How did you even get here?" I demanded to know.

"Your little devil boyfriend accidentally opened a dimension portal when he time traveled with you for the first time in the graveyard. Using magic carelessly always has consequences so that's how I ended up here."

"But Taehyung time traveled two times so that means..." I recall to when I messed up the mission and he needed to reverse time again for me.

"Yes, there is another version of you that got transported into this universe. Well, was here," she giggles.

"What do you mean was here? What happened to her?"

"I killed her," she states, blankly.

"What?" I begin to back away. "Why?"

"I thought it was you. She seemed so afraid when she got here- definitely the more timid version of us. Found her cooped up in your bedroom crying, and I stabbed her. I was worried that she'd ruin my plans and my cover in this universe."

"Then why haven't you killed me?"

"I've realized you may have the capability to help my plans... Chao was helpful, but not all that I needed."

"You're working with Chao?" I asked.

"Yes, I met him that day when you saved him from the Bangtan Boys. You must remember?'

He told me to talk to the mysterious lady at the convenience store... It's true. They have met.

She continues. "I needed to befriend someone since I was all alone in this universe. I took my mask off and revealed my identity and how I got here. I thought he'd freak out, but surprisingly he was thrilled. He's been researching about the supernatural for awhile, and became fascinated with me. Well, he became romantically interested in me too..."

Romantically interested... Chao was friendly to me when we escaped the Bangtan Boys bunker, but never made moves on me. Then after that day him and the parallel universe version of me met, he became really flirtatious and was always checking me out. How Chao seemed so comfortable with my body, like he's touched it before...

The game he was playing with me and Jungkook... He was all along helping the parallel universe version of me.

She explains, "Chao knew of a rumored way of how to reach Hell. That was perfect since I needed to go there myself- I was willing to use up the one time visiting chance."

"What did you even do there?"

"I told Satan I needed immortality for my plans. He refused and called me one crazy bitch." She shrugged.

"Immortality? What would you need that?" I inquired.

"You see, I have a vision of going to every single parallel universe. There are infinite parallel universes- each with a slightly different or hugely different world from ours. They all have version of us and everyone else. Maybe I won't be able to visit every single universe, but I'll be able to go to a lot more of them if I had immortality and an unlimited amount of time. Too bad Satan couldn't help me but I'll find another way."
