Force of love

Chapter 12

Next day, all of them meet up in the park. Tori and Syn tell them everything. Syn admits they are jealous of Mia but she is happy for her and Damon. They also come out as non-binary. Everyone is supportive and forgives them.

"We all get jealous. It's a natural thing. Also I'm proud of you for coming out." Harvey states. Syn smiles at his comment. Damon lets out a sharp sigh and walks off. Syn tries to run after him but he pushes them away and keeps walking. Mia then runs after him to see whether she can calm him down a bit. 

"Why did you run off like that?" Mia questions. Damon ignores her and keeps walking. She keeps walking after him hoping he'll answer eventually. 

"Just leave me alone." Damon lashes as they are approaching his dorm. Mia stands in place. Damon turns back around and walks into his dorm room. Mia sighs and walks back to her dorm. 

As she comes back in, Tori and Syn are already waiting for her. They ask whether she found out anything but she shakes her head no. Tori and Syn try to cheer Mia up saying it's not her fault and that Damon is going to be okay soon. 

The next day by the classroom Damon apologizes. Mia pulls him aside and asks what it was all about yesterday. He admits that he felt bad for Syn because she had a crush on him since high school but he kept rejecting them. Mia asks why he kept rejecting her and Damon gets shy.

"Well..... Because I wouldn't be comfortable with dating someone non-binary. No offense to Syn because they're a great friend." Damon finally admits with guilt in his voice. Mia pulls him into a hug when she sees how upset he is.

"You don't have to date someone if you're not comfortable with it. They'll understand." Mia assures him. They then hear the door open and go into the class. The both of them meet up with Syn and explain everything. Syn is very understanding as Mia has predicted.
